it is amazing how these beautiful and majestic creatures have the instinct to attack when their prey is not looking and distracted. Even if you put them in a cage, you can't get rid of their instincts.
These types of predator are opportunists. Even with a gut full of food, they'll still look to take out the vulnerable. They're killing machines, plain and simple. There is nothing 'majestic' about them, whatever that means.

Not at all worried about the glass giving. It's strong. Probably reinforced. What makes me mad are the people who let their kids smack on the glass, scream, and treat these animals like overgrown house pets. If that glass weren't there, at least three of the lions in this video would have killed those toddlers, and the kids need to learn that. Zoo animals aren't toys.

Never turn your back to a predator. In, a way this is a little sad for the lions. They will always have the predator instinct. He would be fullfilling it if not in captivity. But he doesn't have to worry about the next meal. Looks well cared for. We can at least appreciate their majesty while separated with glass.

I saw a kid throwing gravel at the glass and scaring a lion cub when I visited a zoo last week. I just wished that the male lion would had scared him making him run away crying. His mom tried to ignore it but when she noticed that I was giving her a "dead eye" she told get son to stop.

It upsets me when I think about the amount of people who forget these are large predators and not house cats. It's the reason toddlers end up in animal enclosures and grown adults get mauled. i have a question if they arent to be kept as pets then why should they be held for display at zoos? dont they mean the same? Arent they captive anyways? An owner may also keep a lion in cage through the entire lifespan just like zoos. Like house owners lions do sometimes escape and end up being killed. Same does happen in zoos too. They maul their keepers and get killed eventually at last. Some are shot to death after they attempted to escape. So in either way it is same. Why do you forbid people to keep them as pets but allow them to be kept as zoos?

I just don’t understand why they lock these beautiful creatures inside small glass cages. They belong to the nature where they can run, hunt and kill, just exactly what they’re designed to be. Looking at these confused lions, not understanding why there is an invisible barrier, while people laughing at them is just uncomfortable for me.

People laughing in the video should know that the glass is double-triple thick, so if it is strong, it can be damaged if there is a small flaw or crack in the glass, if you run to the fullest extent of the lion and impact it, the glass can be damaged and the lion can learn.
It's just their predator instinct being triggered by something smaller than themselves running around. A lot like how common house cats are triggered by things waved in their faces. If you wave your hand, or some other object, in front of a cat's face, it will likely follow it intently, and then go after it.

I saw a kid throwing gravel at the glass and scaring a lion cub when I visited a zoo last week.

Actually, they have it much easier than in the wild. Disease, starvation, hunters, no medical treatment...they have a much harder life in the wild.
It upsets me when I think about the amount of people who forget these are large predators and not house cats. It's the reason toddlers end up in animal enclosures and grown adults get mauled. Respect the zoo barriers, people. More importantly, respect the animals and teach your kids to respect them. I would never allow my child to approach the glass and taunt the animal that way. Again, these ARE NOT pets, and people are making a dangerous mistake to assume they are in any way docile or domestic.
i have a question if they arent to be kept as pets then why should they be held for display at zoos? dont they mean the same? Arent they captive anyways? An owner may also keep a lion in cage through the entire lifespan just like zoos. Like house owners lions do sometimes escape and end up being killed. Same does happen in zoos too. They maul their keepers and get killed eventually at last. Some are shot to death after they attempted to escape. So in either way it is same. Why do you forbid people to keep them as pets but allow them to be kept as zoos?

People laughing in the video should know that the glass is double-triple thick, so if it is strong, it can be damaged if there is a small flaw or crack in the glass, if you run to the fullest extent of the lion and impact it, the glass can be damaged and the lion can learn.
It's disturbing how they react to little children they act like they've tasted them before, terrifying.
It's just their predator instinct being triggered by something smaller than themselves running around. A lot like how common house cats are triggered by things waved in their faces. If you wave your hand, or some other object, in front of a cat's face, it will likely follow it intently, and then go after it.

I was concerned that the lions were starving. When is the food served? It is very dangerous to feed hunting (predator) animals when they are very hungry. They will blind themselves between the feeder and the food!!
쟤들은 때에 먹이를 주기 때문에 배고픔에 지쳐있지 않는다. 그런 상태에서 아기들을 보고 병적 반응을 보이는 건 단순히 사냥 본능 그 무엇이다.

맹수는 새끼 때부터 저희들끼리 사냥놀이를 하면서 큼. 저희들끼리 놀이를 하는 것 외에도 호랑이의 경우 일부러 위해를 가할 수 없는 작은 초식동물같은 걸 산채로 잡아 다리에 부상을 입힌다던지 해서 새끼들에게 던져주기도 함. 그걸로 사냥연습을 하라는 뜻이죠

That's why I hate the zoo. Just imagine yourself in there behind the glass while you're hungry and want some meat while bunch of people other side of glass are laughing at you and enjoy seeing you hungry. Imagining yourself as other side works for anything in this world even war between humans. If it was up to me I would free every single animal In most zoo. I can't say all because unfortunately in some countries it's better to have them in these cages rather than open wilds in order to save them from stupid human hunters.some people say I can't like wild animals they kill us I'm gonna say u don't like some strangers come to your house without permission so what do u expect from them. And some of them attacking u because they afraid of u and want to defend either themselves or their territory instead of running away.
Still zoo is shit and it's torture mentally to watch at least for me. Wish I could erase this video from my mind.

U r so dumb if u talk about their survival then they are pretty much good at that zoo than the forests cause they are getting everything what they want for survival and if they are in Forests so they are not gonna eat the fruits they need meet for survival so they are gonna kill humans in that case they will survive but not us it's all about survival On this planet they got strength for survival so we got the brain So need to get reality check that in the end everything we do is all about our Survival
