That 1982 Kangaroo team was BY FAR THE BEST RUGBY LEAGUE TEAM I HAVE EVER SEEN,in 42 years of watching the sport.I was lucky to attend seven games on the tour, including the second Test at Wigan and the third Test at Leeds.I remember Krilich`s try...he hadnt scored all tour as I remember.Australia made a break,Brett Kenny got the ball and passed inside to Krilich who seemed to take forever to run the last 25 yards and score.A magical memory. For all you NRL fans...remember St.George only had one representative on the 1982 Kangaroo tour.Brisbane City powerhouses Wynumn-Manly and Fortitude Valley ( the famous " Valleys FC " ) had two each.Look up Rohan Hancock and the team he played for.A different time...

And I`m not sure South Sydney had any representatives.Brisbane rugby league was really strong at that time.

I saw Max Krilich kick a goal after the final siren, to win a game against North Sydney from out wide, near where he is sitting for this interview back in the 70's. He was a very competent goal kicker. From memory, he seemed to turn and run towards the dressing room with a smile on his face, before the ball went through the posts.
