I think grease in general is good for our hair. Everyone used it back in the day and honestly can’t recall growing up with anyone who didn’t have full & healthy hair. Might not have been long but it was thick and full. Somehow over the decades, grease has been villainized. I have acne so I use it in moderation but I notice less breakage and shedding when I do use it.

I agree with you. Although I do wear weaves and wigs from time to time, back in the day we weren't really wearing weaves and wigs as much as we do today. I think our hair was allowed to breathe back then and we didn't stress out our scales with braids as we do now so yes people had healthier hair and scalps and used grease. We also got our hair done at the shop at least every two weeks or our momma or somebody who had skills (but often no license) did our hair out of their basement. Now we use wigs and weaves on a regular basis and we see the difference that it has done to our hair growth.

Thanks for sharing another great recipe. I use a similar method, while opting for different oils. Only difference, I add the hibiscus powder to the "green tea" bag and restaple. Easier infusion during the double boiling in order to avoid the straining. I have found coffee filters are great substitutes with larger patches. My tresses do not respond well to coconut oil or shea butter. Thus, I substitute with Batana oil, Neem Butter and Fenugreek oil. With consistency, I have seen great improvements with length retention, density and anti-breakage. ❤

Every individual must study their hair. What you apply to your scalp may be different from what you apply to your roots and ends of hair. Please take in consideration of hair porosity and protein sensitivity.Underatand thw different between moisture and hydration. with that being said olive oil is good for the ends of hair or scalp but doesnt penetrate low porosity hair therefor using coconut oil is better option.things good for hait growth and strength that can be added as a hair mask: clove, rosemary, sidr, moringa. Watwr is necessary to clean thw hair AND provide hydration but too much water can increase the risk of dryness ande breakage.Argan oil is heavy for low porosity hair but its good for yhw hair ends. jojoba oil is great as it hydrates and mositurizers and restore tue natural oils of your hair without being to oily

Awesome! 🌺 It would be interesting to know how long it took between before and after. Have bought the Blue Magic and Shea butter and rosemary essential oils and have the other ingredients and look forward to trying this. I am on a hair journey and always love to try different hair remedies to see which work for my high porosity hair. It is growing in length again but still too much breakage but I think I know why. Breakage is usually the problem with Afro hair and not growth as our hair is always growing unless of course something is wrong. Also a recent faux locs hairstyle I was wearing tore my sides. It was too heavy. I have found the perfect growth style for my hair now so only looking for the right products. Dr Miracles is amazing for my hair and also groganics. They have been good to my hair for years. I also use rosemary and castor oil and biotin. Also started using Keratin but I don’t believe so many products are necessary for hair growth and maintenance but I am just experimenting until I start to see more results and then I will know which products I can leave out. I think less is more probably applies to hair care aswell.
    ❤❤❤

Blue magic is very different now. It’s almost oil and I don’t believe this. It’s a very good hair oil. Nothing is a miracle for all, but there is something for everyone. Congratulations you found your path. To others- be careful your hair may fall out because of this routine. We are all different.
