As far as i am aware, Amy is a classically trained *pianist* - not singer. Of course she’s had some vocal training along the way, but not to the extent of counting as classically trained, i believe. (Correct me if i‘m wrong, almighty comment section! 🙃) Man, i love this song so much. It just never loses its impact on me ❤️

Lithium is a toxic metal used, among other things, as a mood-stabilizer. My late partner was bipolar and prescribed Lithium. I took her to hospital a number of times because of the toxic reaction.... One thing that article didn't mention was she said before when talking about the song, that she uses that sorrow and such to fuel her creative side (it's an artist thing, we all do it) and she's worried that by being happy (metaphored as lithium) and letting go of the sadness she would be letting go of her link to the creative.

@Empress Katherine It is still used for bi-polar but less frequently these days. I'm in the UK and was on it for bi-polar about 20 years ago.
