    Highlights as China's Wu Jingyu Win's the Women's -49kg Taekwondo Gold during the London 2012 Olympic Games.
    Taekwondo is a traditional Korean martial art, which means "the way of kicking and punching". In taekwondo, hands and feet can be used to overcome an opponent, but the trademark of the sport is its combination of kick movements. Taekwondo is one of the two Asian martial arts included on the Olympic programme. Taekwondo made its debut as a demonstration Olympic sport at the 1988 Seoul Games, and became an official medal sport at the 2000 Sydney Games.

    lyyevv: She went back to school to finish her master degree. No systematic training, so the opportunity was given to younger athlete. However, She's back! And she will get her third gold medal in Rio!1 second ago•

    There are some differences between the 2008 Olympics and the 2012 Olympics. In Beijing 2008, a taekwondo athlete lost one point when receiving a red card (=two yellow cards) but in 2012 the rule was changed to one point for the opponent.

    They'll get injured without any protection, do you even know how it feels do get hit? These people hit hard, I've been to matches where people lose their temper and one guy was out cold.

    you can if you wish, most don't because letting them down your side blocks the round-house kick from the chest gear.

    In 2020 Olympic in Tokyo karate will be one of the event so may be Olympic from that time on will feature two martial Arts from Japan: judo, a true Japanese native martial art and Karate, in reality, an Okinawan martial art brought to Japan by Okinawan masters. I hope that the practice and ruling in All-Japan Karate Kumite will be use- the face can be hit with punch and kick; and no use of gloves, no head gear, no body armour and no shin guard. If this happen, perhaps every fight is boring as the opponents will not attack and attack, they will be on timing as they will be cautious not to be hit by a punch or kick at the face. It hurt to be hit by the fore knuckles of a fist much more a kick to the face and cheek.

    • @Supermomo2007
      @Supermomo2007 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      karate is watered down white crane kung fu. the okinawa masters were chinese settlers. judo is not a native japanese martial art. it is modified version of shuai jiao/chinese wrestling!!!!!!!!!!
