Ugh, the wood edges is so smart. I've hesitated to do these because they seem like a pain in the ass to deal with in hot months when you need to take them down.
This should work fine with shade cloth too right? Great video tho definitely trying this out Also would flipping the conduit when you’re towards the end bring back your leverage? I’m no physics major but seems like it could work
Hi thanks for your comment. Yes I agree, it would support shade cloth too. The conduit lasts well held by canes and we don’t routinely do anything else.
Looks like tunnel is open ended? What material for cover? I'm in zone 6b. Fall crop in the ground now but weather turned up to 80 degrees F. to upper 90's. We put ours up. Needed shade, ventilation and protection from heavy winds. Using rebar for stakes. GREAT JOB.
Thanks for your kind comment, we use standard heavy gage polythene for covers and extend it past the ends to close it off when necessary. Its quick and easy to lift the polythene back when the weather is good. Good luck with your growing!
Hi, yes sorry I didn't touch on this here. It usually holds itself together without fixing if the wood is heavy enough, but if wind gets very high we secure the ends of the plastic cover with heavy stones, The wood could be tethered to metal ground pegs set at right angles to the pull.
I love that it can be portable and easily rolled up. Thankyou ✨🍃🌻
You’re welcome 😊

Hi Mintgreen, yes it’s just a few minutes job to roll it up and carry it away, although ours are so long that it takes 2 people to carry.
How did you measure the plastic so it fit over the hoops so perfectly?

Wow smart!! Thx for this video
How do you keep the plastic cover from the wind blowing it off? I dont see it fastened to anything.

Could you please tell the tunnel dimensions? Size of bed, pipe lengths etc. Thanks.
Hi thanks for your question. This bed is 8 meters in length, the pipes are 2meters long and it's 21.5mm overflow pipe. Hope this helps.
@@MoorfieldFarmFlowers What length are the stakes on the side? And what did you use to make the stakes?
Hi they are plain bamboo canes, about 60cm long - the length is not critical.
What did you stick in the ground to hold the tubing?
Hi Jessica, thanks for your question. They are bamboo canes, quite thin so can flex to the curve. They last all season. Good luck with your growing.
What's the pipe size??
Hi, it's 12.5mm overflow pipe.
