    Friend of mine asked me to carve something small to her office so she can lay it on her desk. Also Robert Robinson from the comments below asked if I can carve ghost and pumpkin as a Halloween project. I joined these requests together and got this idea of pencil holder which is very easy and quick to carve.
    I believe it can be nice gift for someone from your family or friend.

    I find that interesting how you round the top. Laying out takes guess work out.

      Nature, my grandpa and one of my teachers on basic school. And wood itself because it is such a warm and beautiful material.. ;-) How about you?

      Lay out an old sheet to catch the shaving. Also wear an apron.

      Hi James. I had plastic cover from new bed and placed it under the carving chair. Or the drop sheet will do good job. At the end few minutes of vacuming.. ;-)
