I recently bought earrings from wind River casino but the young lady wasn't educated on who made the beautiful art nor what ghost beads were. I told her she needs to educate herself because this is important things her grandchildren will ask her. So thank you for keeping the beading alive and thriving.

I'm Kiowa and Comanche and I completely understand about the tribes traditional ways and our designs. I love beading my families and my tribes designs on my beadwork that I've sale. Here in Oklahoma we are very traditional when it comes to our regalia. We are not fashion or sale outs when it comes to our regalia and/or our beadwork. Aho/mvto/ thank you for sharing. My sis is a Northern Arapaho and we always teach each other about our rribes ways. 😍❤❤❤❤🌹🦅

I’m a self-taught beader. I’m white but my stepmom was full blond Yakama. I only use trade beads with a few new beads. None of my white friends get it. I stay true to colors, patterns and stitching. I’m dying to get a mentor. Books can only teach you so much. I now live in Texas and have gone to many pow wows observing and respectfully asking for a mentor. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve cried all the way home because im not taken seriously. It shouldn’t matter who takes your craft seriously. I don’t want the art to be lost. My stepmom died at 96. I have no one left. Thank you for being a powerful mentor. ❤️

Thank you for sharing your craft with us on you tube. I have a lot f respect for traditional beadwork. I found this very interesting and informative. I was noticing your colors and I see red, blue, yellow, white, but not any green. Was this a personal choice or was that a color that was not used as much historically?

Don't leave him alone with any children! Especially girls. Do background checks before doing business with people.

Hazel Smith what are you trying to say, if you knew anything about the time it takes and the hard work that goes into being a beader like that you wouldn't be leaving that comment. I bead too and I'm northern Arapaho so I think I know what I'm talking about. The men who we can't trust are the ones who are not doing positive things like this for our children. They're the ones who are creepy old men who have no life. Not unless you actually know him and you know he can't be trusted then say that, instead of assuming.

@@hazelsmith9332 well what do you know?? I'm northern Arapaho too, and how do you know? He does a lot of drumming, singing, and he is one that had a lot of knowledge about Arapaho people
