As a retired British truck driver, I like the simple dash layout of the Volvo. Much easier and safer to read the gauges than most of the blingy US trucks which look more like an airplane cockpit!!!

Not all US trucks are like that but the custom ones are, really I think most of the ones who get the guages cant even tell you what they are haha

I love Volvos. I own a 2006 Volvo VNL 860 with air ride all around. It is a very comfortable and spacious truck. The D13 engine is incredibly reliable. Mine has over 1 million miles and still gets 7 mpg. It continues to run strong without any issues. These premium vocational trucks are the best.

VNL series are nice, but the 860 is a step beyond. Love the ride and layout of of this truck! I've driven many different types of trucks from 18 spd trucks to automatics of many manufacturers. I prefer long nose trucks, but this is a nice one indeed.

Wow! They put the shifting stick next to driver sit ?! That’s very uncomfortable, the driver will hit it every time he goes inside the sleeper -- Volvo engineers should have asked drivers
It's been that way for a long time... That should tell you all you need to know about the Volvo engineers

That MACK Anthem to me is a better truck, I've only seen 1 Mack broken down on the highway, but I've seen numerous Volvos and Freightliners, a few Peterbuilts, but only 1 Mack since I been driving OTR. And I drive a 2016 Mack Pennicle, I drove a 2016 Freightliner Cascadea, for a while, it broke down three times in a one month period, so I switched up.
Uh…….. how many volvos on the road compared to Mack Einstein? 150-1. I’ve been an owner operator for 38 years, you can go days without seeing a new Mack bunk truck. My Coronado has 600,000 on it, had very good luck with it, owned two volvos, were very good trucks.
Mack and volvo are the same truck now days
