Infinity is really big. It's infinite. But what does it mean when an infinity is proved to be bigger than another? How can something infinite be bigger than something else that is also infinite? This video attempts to explore a fairly introductory, laymen understanding of mathematic infinity, and how trying to wrap our brains around endlessness can be just as endless.

"Hungry" for knowledge? "Tired" of questions without answers? "Anxious" as to what those answers might be? Here's the key to understanding infinity. That which is LIMITED is IRRATIONAL by definition. Therefore, absolutely all numbers are irrational. And the very concept of numbers is actually irrational, because it is the concept OF limitation. On the other hand, infinity is complete and lacking nothing, which is the very definition of that which is RATIONAL. Our current experience is limited, and therefore irrational. And by definition, an irrational experience is INSANITY. The rational cannot be understood by the insane. And rational infinity has absolutely no relationship with numbers. Conclusion: infinity cannot be understood by finite minds. However, when the mind leaves insanity behind, infinity is experienced. Infinity can ONLY be experienced, and cannot be comprehended or explained by we who are experiencing limitation (insanity). Now, if you want all of the secrets of this Universe (that you will ultimately need to know), read my book. I think infinity is a nature. A force that everything follows under, because everything is infinite. I don't believe you can simply, or complexly, explain it at all.
There are limitations to vocal communication, yet no limitations to experiences. I haven't experienced infinity yet, and don't truly know if you can while still physically being. Yet I have a feeling that's indescribable to what it might be.

It gets better though the ability to know what it’s like to be the other person or understand why some people suck or why things happen and it’s because they have no idea either so it can mess with you at first. It gets better though and it changed my life for the better I’m way more understanding and loving to everyone I meet because I felt that oneness that night and it stays with you for the rest of your life.

It didn't go over your head, unless you want to try and understand the irrational explanation that this video attempts to give. Here's the key to "understanding" infinity. You are actually infinite in being, and can never cease to exist. "I think therefore I am." To me, the concept that we can somehow comprehend the concept of "infinity" is proof enough that we ourselves, as consciousnesses, are infinite beings capable of trascending our existence towards waking up with a true free will.
Yes, our bodies are mortal, and rarely able to exceed 8 decades of age, but our minds, our writtings, our presence, is something that trascends time itself, for after all, we are all one. Our minds will converge after the absolute end to wake up with absolute free will.

    • @2msvalkyrie529

Well....apart from the fact that we
CANNOT comprehend Infinity and that we all die eventually your theory is fairly sound ...?

What does that even mean ? ?

Nicely done! Mad props for the slide rule at 7:37.
Personally, I favor the platonist viewpoint, that numbers actually exist. I say this as someone with a lifelong interest in mathematics who went on to major and graduate in it. Of course, I respect opposing viewpoints, such as formalism and intuitionism; I'm just incautious.
In this video, you only consider cardinal arithmetic, in which we're only concerned with the numerousness of a set. In ordinal arithmetic, in which we also consider the order of the elements of a set, we actually can add one to infinity and get something new. In John Conway's surreal numbers, we can even take its square root and have it make sense!
Again, well done. I came here after a mention from Epic Math Time, and will be looking at some of your other videos, possibly even subscribing to your channel.
