The sound is very close and bright, and Guld's touch is so hot. Sometimes it looks like sparks are popping out of the speakers. A slight keyboard noise is also picked up. It's a performance that pumps the listener's adrenaline. Thanks, David!

Beautiful Toccata, played with the finesse and great sensitivity of touch and nuanced musical phrasing common to Gould's interpretative skills -- such fine musicianship!! Rapturous Adagio, with the depth of meaning endemic to Bach's compositions. Allegro is bright and a perfect vehicle for Gould's demonstrative Baroque stylings. Fuga is the ultimate in Gould's repertory of rhapsodic interpretations shared between voices. Perfect.
Ending with a flourish. Much appreciation for this excellent interpretation!!
