Kenshi 2 is gonna be the hottest shit when it finally drops. Though honestly, I wonder if the devs will decide to make the switch to Unreal Engine 5 (currently it's developed for UE4, and UE5 is supposed to be backwards compatible) - it seems *FAR* better suited for Kenshi with its new tech (nanite in particular, but lumen would definitely come in handy, too).
yes, i just pray they won't only focus too much on 'good' graphics, because that wasn't what Kenshi (1) made famous. When i sold Seta to the Shek i went back to the city and saw that the Shek took over the city - this means my actions had REACTIONS in this world. sadly, not enough games nowadays do so.

I disagree, I'm scared Kenshi 2 will just focus en technic and forget that the base game suffer from a lack of deph/goal when it comes to a narrative point.
@@bopbop076 its a sandbox game? you are supposed to make your own goals and narratives. you just have a rich world with a bunch of lore to discover and try to survive. I really hope they dont try to force a story into kenshi 2.
the biggest thing missing in kenshi to me are more "personal" interactions/reactions of npcs and factions you just rescued a swamp ninja from getting eaten alive by bloodspiders, stitched him up in your base and fit him a quality prosthetic so he doesn't have to crawl home? his reaction: "ok bye" actually less than that, without mods you don't even get a faction reputation bonus for saving him I know murdering, plundering and killing your way through hostile factions is fun and all, but it would be really cool if you could build a reputation as "good samaritans" building shelter outposts they could also do it a bit like rimworld and have randomized but still completely unique characters across the board that would be persistant so you could make it so that the individual character exactly remembers if you, or rather one of your faction, saved them, robbed them etc.
@@KhoaNguyen-zc8vn doesn't have to be super complex, a simple "personal" disposition value would be fine but yeah in a big open world it would be intensive to track all that across the map but I'd be super ok with the engine just cheating by unloading them at a certain distance and put them on a cooldown to respawn for a while so they don't cause huge trouble but also don't teleport across the map in unreasonable time etc.

I remember picking this game up maybe a few updates after its steam release awhile back (not exactly sure when) and it had a certain charm then, it was a broken mess that was as deep as a puddle but the ideas were so interesting and the setting felt very unique. The final game far surpased even my highest hopes for what Kenshi would become, easily my favorite indie game. I'm still blown away that a game with such humble and difficult beginings became such a deep and engaging rpg. Hopefully Kenshi 2 can live up to this.

Remember playing first time kenshi when i was still in school the map was like one giant sand box literally and in the middle was only first town, whilist if you travel way too far you will encounter cannibals which would drag you to their own town.
I see the kind of editing your going for and its pretty good and the thumbnail looks nice but idk it seems like nowadays on TH-cam gameplay channels like that don't get as popular as they used to, if you really want to make that content on your channel just keep making more high quality videos and eventually something will catch on with people!

i hope the next stage will be politics and faction management improvements. so sad that you can touch a town leader and all town instantly come to ruin forever. The game could be so deeper with a good policy system, for example as in drox operative
I tried to enjoy Kenshi, everything about it ticks all my boxes. But the controls, dear lord the controls, constantly annoying in the end I just gave up. If anyone knows of a mod or any tips to make it more user friendly I'd love to give it another go.
Try to set up keybinds for the controls, I have my camera rotation set to Q and E. Ctrl A to select all my people, Ctrl R to stop what ever the selected person is doing and etc.

The problem with this would be the CPU process needed to keep these "unique" interactions, its like opening multiple tabs on pc

The development was much like the gameplay. Start out with nothing , almost starve , get stronger , gather allies , build a base.

I played this for 3 years now. still love it. I use mods: project genesis and dark ui. Is so many different things to do and try. This game Rocks
Kenshi like runs 50-80 on my computer. Kenshi 2 will blow up my computer
