  • Robert Moehling has a passion for fruit. Weird tropical fruit. Ever tried canistel? How about mamey sapote or guanabana? Robert is happy to introduce these fresh delights to you. He sells all kinds of exotic, tropical fruit at Robert Is Here, his fruit stand in Homestead, Florida. Most of the fruit he sells is grown right on his family farm.

I love that this man is bringing good common Asian fruit to Americans but calling them weird just because they aren't of the West is really reductive and silly.
Robert is totally wonderful though. Thank you Robert. Your wholesome fruit growing is appreciated.

I visited Florida about 10 years ago with a friend to catch a few hockey games in both Tampa and sunrise. On one of those days, we visited a gator farm in the Everglades before the game, and on the way to the arena we passed this place. The name caught our eye, so we stopped and checked it out. Ended up buying a milkshake or a smoothie (can't remember exactly), and then we continued onto sunrise. I forgot about this place until a few minutes ago when it popped up in my youtube random feed.
