  • Have you seen that round disk on your oil heater but not quite sure how it works? We'll show you how to set the timer on your oil heater so you can come home to a pre-heated environment. Nice!

    FYI on my delonghi oil heater the pins go "in" for on, "out" for off.

    Agree with Isaacarus, pegs in when on, and out when off on my heater.

    Hi, thanks for the video, just one question, the timer switch has 3 positions, "0" "I" and "Timer" positions, I understand that when in "0" positions the heater doesn't work, and in "Timer" position the heater works in conjunction with the timer, but what does the heater do in the "I" position?, thanks

    • @iloveyourcowboyhat
      @iloveyourcowboyhat 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Probably just works regardless of the timer being on or off.

      Is THAT what it does? I have had conflicting advice on that three way switch and can't seem to find the answer at all. So is position 0 like a child lock making the heater not function at all (just the clock dial turning so long as the heater's plugged in but not doing anything and the two power switches also bypassed)? And so position 1 is a functioning heater that ignores the clock (even though the clock still keeps time as long as it is plugged in)?

      Hi! Well I would say so, yes. I figure this is the way to fully activate your Timer (at least on my DeLonghi "Magnum" Model).

    is there an oil level? where is it situated? do they need to be topped up with oil? how much oil is required for eAch model?

    • @tonygriffith1
      @tonygriffith1 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      ~ Hello Glestelle, in answer to your question, NO I don't believe oil is needed. According to the manual, for my model CYAA45-7T, it states the oil is sealed in the unit when shipped from the manufacture and does not need to be added or will it run out. This may be the same, for most oil filled radiators.
      However, refer to the manual or check with a store representative for peace of mind. ;-)

    Don’t buy one with timer unless you want to have sleepless nights listening to the heater tick tick tick tick tick tick......... all night long and get louder overtime. Drives you nuts.

      True Dat! You can also slow the video down if you wish. I sometimes have to set the Playback Speed of some fast talking Car Stereo Salesmen down to .5 to catch the details.

    Well well! That was a nice quickie music Heater Video for Millennials! Now take a look at Mark Clark's worded longer *DeLonghi* Video - th-cam.com/video/ryqd3jlG87I/w-d-xo.html - as he helps explain to us older Folks what this Timer does. *isaacarus* ' comment below also saved my ass when he reminded us when the little pins are *_pushed_*_ _*_in_* the *heater* will be *on* .
