Started my portfolio last year with SCHD, VOO, and VUG after watching one of your videos. In terms of share price, VOO is way up (22.25%) and VUG is waaaaay up (39.62%). Thanks for the education!

Isn't VOO and VUG similar in the sense both are investing in the S&P 500? What is the difference? I thought it is generally advised against to invest in multiple ETFs or Mutual Funds?

This is precisely why I like having a portfolio coach guide my day-to-day market decisions: with their extensive knowledge of going long and short at the same time, using risk for its asymmetrical upside and laying it off as a hedge against the inevitable downward turns, their skillset makes it nearly impossible for them to underperform. I've been utilizing a portfolio coach for more than two years, and I've made over $800,000.

Absolutely! Wealth is made in bear markets. We aren’t in a bear market, but nibbling heavy red days has proven to be fruitful for me over 4 years of investing. I am at 2.25 mil. Biggest positions VOO, VTI, SCHD, VYM, and now looking to build up DRGO alongside finding quality value/growth stocks to buy. I got $48k divs last year in taxable divs. Q2 taxable divs this year was $17,388 this year. Don't sell when the market is down. Having a skilled CFA that puts the time in to do in-depth research can be invaluable in strategizing your portfolio.

However, it's important to note that real estate investing also comes with risks, such as property market fluctuations, maintenance expenses, tenant turnover, and potential vacancies. Successful real estate investing requires careful research, due diligence, and an understanding of local market conditions. Investors should always assess their risk tolerance and financial goals before making any investment decisions.

Like Warren Buffet said, dividends are only good if the business you’re investing into can’t make good use of that capital. So if you’re trying to invest into businesses with actual growth, looking at dividends is a waste of time. Why are you investing into a company if they’re returning capital to you because they think you can make better use if it than they can. It’s not much different from bond investing. The way I see it if you have a $1 million at some point, that’d be enough to create a portfolio that would pay you between 50k-70k in dividend income...

    • @alexyoung3126

It's not difficult, but you have to learn and handle. Another thing is that if you can't manage your home, maybe you shouldn't invest on your own. If so, you should hire a CFP to help you diversify your assets to include ETFs/index funds/mutual funds and stocks of companies with consistent cash flows, rather than betting on penny stocks.

A lot of folks downplay the role of advisors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for license advisors and came across someone of due diligence, helped a lot to grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $275k to approx. $850k so far.

Consistently investing in high quality dividend paying REITs & companies over the long term is a relatively easy strategy to create generational wealth. My "boring" REITs portfolio paid me over $4,000 in dividends last month. Time in market beats market timing. The market's uncertainty is one of the reasons I have my daily investment decisions guided by an investment advisor, as their skill set is built around going long and also shorting the market to maximize returns, both employing profit-oriented strategy and laying off risk as a hedge against inevitable downtrends, and when combined with exclusive analysis, it's nearly impossible not to outperform. I like investing in close-end funds that pay monthly dividends. The trick is to hold long term and reinvest the monthly dividends plus buy more shares on a monthly basis or whenever you can afford to. This can be easily done because close-end funds are bought and sold on the stock market just like regular stock. That’d be enough to create a portfolio that would pay you between $50k to $70k in dividend income

These are very valuable rules for anybody who wants to get rich. Unfortunately, most people who will watch this video will not really be able to apply the principles. We may not want to admit, but as Warren Buffett once said, investing is like any other profession-- it requires a certain level of expertise. No surprise that some people are losing a lot of money in the bear market, while others are making hundreds of thousands in profit. I just don't know how they do it. I have about $89k now to put in the market.

The key is to try and understand personal finances and investing, because these will most likely lead to greater financial independence. By being knowledgeable about money and investing, individuals can make informed decisions about how to save, spend, and invest their money. I know someone who made over $350k in this recession influenced market, but to the best of my knowledge, it was through a financial advisor.

Yeah, financial advisors could make a lot of difference, particularly in a market such as this. Stocks are pretty unstable at the moment, but if you do the right math, you should be just fine. Bloomberg and other finance media have been recording cases of folks gaining over 250k just in a matter of weeks/couple months, so I think there are a lot of wealth transfer in this downtime if you know where to look. I have been using an FA since 2019, and I return at least $21k ROI, and this does not include capital gain.

Buy low sell high. Stick with a good company by either not selling when it’s going lower and/or buying more at that time. Almost always the good well managed companies will come back strong at some point. The other is to get yourself a financial-advisor that can provide you with entry and exit points on the shares/ETF you focus on.

    2. Anything above a two family property needs to show the bank that rents can cover at least 75% of the monthly payment cost for the residence. Much easier to qualify for a duplex instead.

Hey Richard, I just want to say “Thank You” for being real. So many people are reaching for that magic thing that’s going to make them rich quick so they can be that”Super Star” with the big cars and so on…… Discipline and consistency are the key, not only to finances, but to so much of the important things in life. Raising children, maintaining a great marriage and even living a life of faith in God. Keep up the good messages with your down to earth advice. You are being used by God to direct people in areas that you may not even be aware of. Stay strong and stay humble. Thanks again.

Credit score is not something used in all countries though. In France, they determine if you are eligible to get a loan (e.g., to buy a house) based on the ratio between your salary, your expenses and your savings. Basically, if every month you 'burn' all your money, you're perceived as riskier than someone earning less but consistently making deposits to a saving account. I feel in the US people tend to buy things they don't need with money they don't have... The only times I feel one should need a credit is when buying 'big' things (house, car, etc.). Not for a TV. I’m 26 with over 800 credit score, time was put into that to build it up by *VRI TOKEN*

It’s important to choose stocks that are expected to hold uo in inflationary environments. To combat the negative effect of inflation, it’s a good idea to diversify your portfolio across different asset classes, such as stocks, bonds, and real estate, since this can help protect your portfolio against inflation. I have seen People making up to $50k in a month during high inflation

One strategy is to invest in assets that performs well during inflation. Another strategy is to focus on companies that have the ability to pass on price increases to their customers. Its also important to maintain a diversified portfolio. Understanding personal finances and investing will most likely lead to greater financial independence. By being knowledgeable about money and investing, individuals can make informed decisions about how to save, spend, and invest their money.
