- 우리가 어떤 인상에 대한 묘사를 할 때 형용사 뿐만 아니라 타동사를 과거분사형이나 동명사형으로 변환시켜서 쓰는 경우가 많은데 영어를 처음 배우는 사람들에게는 많이 헷갈릴 수 있는 부분이다. 이번 Part 1에서는 가장 기본적인 개념을 세워보자.

Lesson#19 - Part1 -과거분사형 / 동명사형 -bored / boring
“저는 너무 어려워요”, “저한테는 너무 힘들어요”
It’s hard + for me “나한테는 어려워요”
It’s too hard + for me “나한테는 너무 어려워요.”
지루하다는 (boring은 동명사자체를 형용사로 사용한다)
I’m boring 이라하면 자신이 지루하다는 뜻이 된다 +*boring 지루하게 하는 / 만드는
The movie was boring “영화가 재미 없었어 / 지루했어”
How was the movie? / How was the pizza / spaghetti? / How was the trip? / How was your vacation.
It was boring “재미없었어”
I’m bored “나 심심해” boring의 과거분사의 모습 (수동태사용)
It’s confusing / this is so confusing / that is really confusing “헷갈린다.”
I’m (so) confused “나 너무 혼란스러워 / 헬갈려” confused (과거분사형) 내가 지금 혼란을 느낀다.
실제로는 우리말로 표현하자면 “난 잘모르겠다”라는 표현으로 이해하면 쉬움
I’m so excited “나 너무 흥분돼” - 대부분의 경우는 너무 신난다, 너무 기대된다라는 뜻으로 사용
I’m so excited about the (my) trip + next month “다음 달에 여행 너무 기대된다.
*exciting - it’s so exciting / it’s really exciting
기대라는 의미는 없어지고 뭔가 흥미진진하고 신이나게하는것을 표현하다. Excited 랑 억양이다르다.

I’m interested in something “난 something 에 관심있다”
I’m very interested in this “저 이거에 관심이 많아요”
It’s (He’s /She’s) interesting 재밌다/ 신기하다 (오락은 fun인데 더 알고 호기심이생기는것에 표현)
Bored / boring - confused / confusing - excited / exciting - interested / interesting

나는 네가 울고 있을 때 혼란스러워. 하지만 난 너와 함께한 날들이 너무 신나.
집에서 일하는 것은 나에게 지루하다. 하지만 나는 사무실로서 내 방을 장식하는 것에 관심이 있었다.
너무 좋은 강의 늘 잘 듣고 있어요~근데 과거분사와 대응하는 -ing형태는 문법용어로 현재분사라고 한답니다. 동명사도 동사에 -ing를 붙인 형태이지만 명사의 역할을 하죠.
앗 2개월전이라 댓달기가 망설여지지고 저도 잘 모르지만 현대영문법에서는 현재분사와 동명사를 구분하지 않는다고 하네요
To부정사가 명사자리와 형용사 자리에 올 수 있는 것과 비슷한 것 같아요
읔.. 늦어서 다 못 끝내고 가네요 ㅠㅠ..

After watching the movie, I went to 광장market for lunch. I've been there before, but finding the market was confusing.
I was really confused about where to go
And it was so hot that I thought I was going to die
But I've wanted to go to 광장 market, and I was interested in the Market. And I was so excited.
When I got to 광장 market, there were many foreigners. It was so exciting
The foreigners were eating Knife-noodle, Meat-sushi, and so on. That was really interesting

유용한 컨텐츠 감사합니다. 특히 미묘한 뉘앙스도 설명해줘서 참 좋은 것 같아요. 저도 영어를 가르치는 사람으로서 수업시간에 가끔 유툽 영상을 활용하는데 이 채널 영상들이 도움이 됩니다. 다만 제가 알기로 여기에서 -ing는 동사를 명사처럼 활용하는 동명사(gerund)가 아니라 현재분사(present participle)인데 용어가 잘못 나온 거 같습니다. 수업때도 활용하고 싶은 컨텐츠라 혹 수정가능하시면 부탁드립니다! :)
