Agree, I thought it there were two squares: a 10 inch square snowballed with the accent piece and a 9-patch with the print in the center and background all around, all set on point. My jaw dropped when Jenny started with the white to snowball the 9 1/2 inch square.
And this would be fabulous with Kaffe prints.

Oh Miss Jenny this is a truly joyous quilt! This fabric is just perfect for it as well.
15 years... Oh my, I wish I had words to tell you how many magical moments have come my way because you fed your passion for textiles!!
I've spent hours with you and you had no idea... wait that sounds a bit creepy lol... but nonetheless so true.
I'm not a very good quilter as quilters go... but I do love it! You've taught me so much along the way... Inspired me... Encouraged me...
The best miracle of all is the closeness that my only sister and I have grown over our shared love of quilting.
You see... my baby sister has breast cancer. She's fought for a long long time, and discovered quilting somewhere in the midst of that fight. Even when she is at her lowest moment, she just devours the videos and it gives her joy. I am the proud recipient of some of her quilts, and they are priceless treasures to me.
We once had dreams of visiting you in Missouri (a state rich in our familial history lol), but travel now isn't possible, but we still dream of it.
She doesn't sew as much these days, but that doesn't stop our sharing of pattern ideas and color way suggestions.
Miss Jenny, and indeed all of you there just cannot know what wonderful memories you've helped us build.
Congratulations on 15 years. I'm so totally thrilled for you! What an amazing story you have, and how your work has intertwined lives and friendships with such a unique bond.
Thank you all. Blessings and love from both sister and me!

@@veroburkellcjeffburke3973 thank you so very much. I am so touched that you would honor us by lifting us in prayer. I believe that praying for someone is a gift you give... and I treasure it so much. There is no finer gift to give than to pray for someone. It's a moment of pure caring and it's priceless. Thank you so very much.

I'm so sorry 😔 to hear of your sisters cancer.
My mother passed away 4 years ago, because of cancer. She lived a long full life of 92 years.
Memories are so precious. I'm happy to hear that your sister, & you have bonded in watching Missouri Star Quilting Company ✴️ sewing classes, from Jenny Doan.
No one, and nothing can take away, all those fond memories you, & your sister shared. The both of you are blessed to have each other.

I was just studying the quilt behind you and thought it you snowball big patterned squares with black and then did a square in a square with a white border the same size; set them on point and you have the same look with less waste. Beautiful quilt.

Yes and no need to cut down those 10" squares AND your dark 'snowball' would match the block instead of looking like you did something wrong so it does not match the edge evenly! As fabric keeps getting more and more expensive, I try to find ways to make things that doesn't waste fabric.

    @kimberlyd9049 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I watch a lot of quilting tutorials, but I love Missouri Star's the most because the easiest way to achieve great results are always demonstrated. It makes me confident that I can get great results without losing my mind trying to get even the smallest of blocks. While small blocks are beautiful, working with tiny pieces of fabric can prove difficult for those of us with arthritic hands or neuropathy. Missouri Star patterns never have me cutting up a 2 1/2" square into 4 pieces to then pair with another 4 pieces that are the same size, which can result in various sizes of hourglasses... Maybe purists want to make small blocks in this manner; however, I appreciate being able to get consistent results working with larger pieces that are cut after some preliminary sewing is done. Thank you for consistently looking for easier ways to achieve great results. 😍
