If any plays with the updated versions like 5.0-9494 for example and is having trouble getting this to work, just get it running in 5.0 first and then open your newer version afterward. Run your game in the newer version of Dolphin(for better performance in my case) but keep 5.0 open in the background idle. The Wiimote will work for current versions of Dolphin as long as you at least have 5.0 open at the same time. Hope that's helpful to some of you. =]

Honestly on PC it's going to be better than on a real wii. Because LCDs TVs had absolutely fucking awful input latency at the time of the console. They still do tbh. With my 1ms monitor it feels like nothing. Get a good monitor and input lag becomes a thing of the past.

I really can't recommend the DolphinBar. I was impressed at first but it stopped working after 3 weeks. I then found out that the left Infra-Red LED's broke. Many people on Amazon have reported this issue too.
You need to update the firmware. They fixed the burning LEDs in the firmware. You could replace the broken infrared LED with a new one after updating the firmware.

The input lag is just the same as on the original Wii. I just played on the old white block last month, and it is absolutely terrible xD How nostalgia can blur your memories... But good to know, that you can emulate Super Mario Galaxy on PC. I never got through this game as a child, maybe I can end this pitty now...
I've bought the bar and downloaded a rom for skyward sword but even if the remote is vibrating when I open the game it tells me that the emulator disconnected the wii mote, I've tried everything and I'm kinda going crazy to make this work. Can you help?

Hey I know this video is ancient at this point, but I found my Mayflash Dolphinbar in a box and wanted to get it working with the latest Dolphin, I can't figure it out though. I have Real Wiimote selected, the Wiimote is paired to the bar, it's in Mode 4, and Continuous Scanning is enabled. But, no vibration, and the controller doesn't seem to be working in Dolphin. Any thoughts?

Kind of late, but Dolphin recommends a Bluetooth Adapter that supports Bluetooth Passthrough + any USB sensor bar over the DolphinBar now. Issue is that not many Bluetooth Adapters support Bluetooth Passthrough, so the DolphinBar is still what a lot of people use. But apparently it has issues with the IR lights burning out because there's nothing controlling the current being sent to the lights.

To finally answer my own question, lol It works, but... I have a big tv, 40 inchs, and to calibrate the pointer for this kind of enviroment... It's not easy man. I tried the top, the buttom... it's not precise. The dude in the video is using a typical monitor, maybe the smaller radious makes the sensor more precise? At least that's the theory, I guess. Never played an actual wii in my entire life, I was assuming the mote worked if we pointed to the TV, not the actual bar. I have to point to the bar, I guide myself from there, I assumed we point out to the tv lol Maybe I was expecting too much. Still, it's playable.

I had the wrong impression watching other people playing this, they used the motion and the pointer as some kind of "extension" of the well know analog stick. In games like Metroid and Mario Galaxy, this shit works pretty well, almost on the same level of a mouse. At first, I imagined people simply pointing the thing to the tv itself, the pointer was super precise following the space ratio of the tv (not a small bar) etc... But the reality is far from this, lol This tech was launched 10 years ago, I was ingenous to believe nintendo achieved this kind of precision right at the get go.

I saw I have dolphin 3.5. My mame cabinet start directly into my mgalaxy fronted. With the mayflash also plugged in it disturbes my usb controller from my pc that controls my cabinet. So my joysticks and buttond didn't work. When unplugging the mayflash and restarting my pc it worked again. Is there a solution for this?

No, you're wrong. The lag from using a Wii controller on PC is by far worse than using Wii controllers on the native hardware.

My wiimote syncs up OK and I see a little box that says wiimote connected, but the game can't "see" the wiimote. The refresh button is greyed out.

Naah, the signal works fine. It's a matter of getting used to. I had the wrong impression watching other people playing this, they used the motion and the pointer as some kind of "extension" of the well know analog stick. In games like Metroid and Mario Galaxy, this shit works pretty well, almost on the same level of a mouse. At first, I imagined people simply pointing the thing to the tv itself, the pointer was super precise following the space ratio of the tv (not a small bar) etc... But the reality is far from this, lol This tech was launched 10 years ago, I was ingenous to believe nintendo achieved this kind of precision right at the get go.

It's because I have 15, 20 days to get accostumed with the motion thing. By no means it's more precise than a mouse, but it gets close. I was expecting some Minority Report shit, lol But what the tech actually does is pretty neat, serviceable. The materials is pretty cheap, but considering the opinion of a friend who actually owned a Wii years ago, the chinese control works exactly like the original.

The original Wii sensor bar? If thats what your talking about then no. The Wii bar doesnt have a USB cable.

I saw I have dolphin 3.5. My mame cabinet start directly into my mgalaxy fronted. With the mayflash also plugged in it disturbes my usb controller from my pc that controls my cabinet.
So my joysticks and buttond didn't work. When unplugging the mayflash and restarting my pc it worked again. Is there a solution for this?
