Great trip report, love your enthusiasm! My husband and I flew Philippine Airlines (PAL) to Manila from Sydney back in 2018, we used the Air New Zealand lounge then (where they served Adobo!) We flew Qantas (QF) to Manila last October, where I have to admit, PAL were superior in their service and food offering, QF have cut back a lot on catering etc. Hope you enjoyed your stay in my Husband's homeland!

Honestly, PAL is not as good as before in relation to customer service. Still much better than Qantas. Yes, we certainly did enjoy our stay in the Philippines. 5 week Adventure!

Curious, where did you put your personal item bag? I didn't see any designated space for it.
Hi, yes, you are correct. There is no designated storage space for your personal bags. It will either be placed in the overhead storage or placed with your feet storage during take-off and landing. We did keep our bags on next to us on the table.

Australia flights to Manila has better Business Class than here in California.. Our flights Cali to Manila is always 13-14 hrs long and we have the old Boeing 777-300 😭😭😭
Yeah, I watched those. I was shocked that they were not using the new A350 for the longer flights. Saves more on fuel and allows for more passengers. It has been several years that they have not upgraded the planes from LAX to MNL.

Like to ask do the stewardess make your bed for you ? And do they serve wines and beers onboard ? Most the review I watched did not show wine selection . Thank you

Yeah, the bug was in the salad. It was camouflaged and filled with dust. The crew was "Oh, I am so sorry. I can get you another meal or salad if you wish." Overall it was still good. But not as good as before. I did eat heaps!

Hi, face masks are actually still mandatory for all passengers and crew. This flight was on Jan 26th, 2023. Although they are more relaxed compared to before. We flew many flights domestic and are still required.

Stopped watching when you were in the lounge. Sounded way too entitled. Got your food. Left lids up. Very lowbrow. Pity.
