He's the best, so down to earth and nice.Had the fortune of getting a one on one with him at a Kiss event in Kansas City, they heard we had come all the way from Sweden so they let us go into the expo and meet with Bruce a few minutes before they opened the gates. Awesome experience and the best guy!
Bruce delivered in KISS!! And delivered! And delivered!! Whatever the band's mood was through the years he was in it, he delivered blistering, melodic, ballsy solos! A humble guy. A great craftsman! Bruce Kulick - I take my hat off to you.
@Suzie.q Popcorn123 True! Completely different player which was by then a completely different band. The only album I think that both Frehley and Kulick could have sounded similar on was Revenge!
Too bad nostalgia won out over good sense, biasing Gene & Paul towards bringing back previous members (and makeup). And then "business sense" won out over nostalgia, Gene and Paul drove Peter away (just business). Not to mention Ace flaking out, missing gigs, etc. Bruce deserves better then to be part of a nostalgia act, and I think he figured that out for himself.
@@xheralt Bruce should go on the road with the band that performed on the KISS Kruise, and play all the deep cuts. A whole legion of true fans would come out to see that. I know i will for sure.
Bruce Kulick is my favorite Lead Guitarist that KISS ever had. I was able to talk to both Paul Stanley and Bruce at the Real KISS Convention at Cobo Hall in Detroit, my hometown. I said to both of them "Do not let the KISS Reunion Tour happen with Ace and Peter, they will not appreciate it, in the end they will make a mess out of it." I won't tell you what they said to me in response, because I would not want to misquote them. I will say that Bruce looked at me like he knew exactly what I was trying to say. To answer the persons question about whether or not Bruce Kulick was asked to rejoin KISS and playing the part of the Spaceman. No he was not. Anyways, that's it. Rock on Bruce! I love your work!
I met Mark St.John at a guitar clinic that Alan Holdsworth was doing. He was real shy and humble. Bruce seems quite laid back too.Loved his tone and time in KISS.
Bruce is the most humble rocker I have ever seen. Also he is the best lead guitarist KISS has ever had in their line-up. I was pissed when they dropped Bruce and Eric Singer for Ace and Peter to do the reunion tour. I think the Reunion tour was a mistake. I thought after Peter and Ace left...AGAIN, they should have brought Bruce back in like they did Eric. I have many albums that I like from KISS for various reasons, but felt that REVENGE was solid thanks to the heaviness that Bruce and Eric brought to the line-up. Bruce, you are amazing. Thanks for your time in KISS.
I got lucky enough top see Bruce twice, 1987 with KISS & 200? with Grand Funk. The KISS show had no solo spot that I can remember, Eric did a solo. Highlight of the show. Had no idea what a monster rock player Bruce is till the Grand Funk show. It must have been summer 2002, the singer kept mentioning Bruce being from "ground zero" (NYC). Rock guitar as it should be!
I was KISS on the Hot in the Shade tour, Summer os 1990. The Album SUCKED, but the concert was amazing. I was learning how to play the guitar, so through out the concert I mostly watched Bruce. Great AMAZING lead guitar player....
It’s a shame Bruce, Eric Carr and Singer didn’t go into the R&R HOF with KISS. The Hall of Fame is a joke anyways, but Bruce definitely earned his place there.
I've never really been a fan of kiss once Ace and Peter left, Aces solos on the original stuff were awesome, but to me, Bruce is a much better guitarist and I just like his style more. It's the kind of style i grew up on and tried to learn, George Lynch, Vivian Campbell, Warren DeMartini etc.
I remember once Gene said "we'll put our logo on anything except tobacco, drugs or alchohol". about 2 years later there's an officially licensed kiss ashtry. they even. ow have their own brand of wine too...
Kiss should have Hired Bruce after Ace or Mark. Bob kept telling them to Hire Bruce K. Paul and Gene always made BAD decisions with hiring guitar players.
Was a big fan of Bruce. I was actually in Vancouver when Bruce came on Robson street to say Rock n Roll all night with 12 000 players to break the Guiness record of the most players. We were only 8000 so no record but a fun afternoon playing that song like 20 times in a row with a kiss cover band. I think they were called Black Diamond or something like that. I was a huge fan of Bob as well. Such a killer tone o Paul's solo album. He.had the playing to.match.
he's always been my favorite guitarist for KISS. The one question I want to know is...does it bother him he never got to do a farewell or encore tour. Unplugged was his last gig...and he didn't know it at the time.
Yup ghost playing. I know because im a ghost lol. Its not because the guitar player sucks or anything like that its because studios are frigging expensive lol im the type you show me once I can nail it down. I do a lot of metal rythm for local metal bands pressed by a budget
Bruce Kulick was the best guitarist for KISS no matter what. In my honest opinion, it would have been wonderful if Paul Stanley & Gene Simmons could have immediately hired Bruce Kulick as their new guitarist after Ace Frehley had left the band for the first time in 1982. Instead of going through with the two worst guitarists such as Vinnie Vincent & Mark St. John like they had, Bruce Kulick could have been there right from the start when Ace Frehley was leaving and so on. It was a very sad moment when Bruce Kulick & Eric Singer had to leave KISS in 1996 in order for the band to make way for the reunion tour with all four original KISS band members which included Ace Frehley & Peter Criss. It became even more saddening that Bruce Kulick was never asked to rejoin KISS after Ace Frehley had left the band again for the second time in 2002 after the original farewell tour was over. Paul Stanley & Gene Simmons had both thought that their newer guitarist Tommy Thayer who joined KISS in 2002 could capture and copy Ace Frehley's persona of the Spaceman makeup better than Bruce Kulick. Throughout his tenure as a KISS band member as well as a lead guitarist from 1984 to 1996, Bruce Kulick was an awesome guitar player in many different ways. Bruce Kulick may have played on five KISS studio albums from Asylum to Carnival Of Souls: The Final Sessions but please don't forget that he also appeared on a couple of live albums including Alive III and MTV Unplugged. If you check out a KISS song called "I Walk Alone" which was featured on Carnival Of Souls: The Final Sessions, Bruce Kulick had provided his first and only lead vocal performance on that song and it became the only KISS song to feature Bruce Kulick on lead vocals. To this day, Bruce Kulick is featured on more than twenty KISS releases. When Bruce Kulick & Eric Singer had left the band in 1996, they were however still paid weekly during the reunion tour while they were both sidelined from KISS. Both of them were still allowed to do other projects as long as Paul Stanley & Gene Simmons okayed them. Even though Bruce Kulick left the band in 1996, he still continued to work with KISS after his departure. Bruce Kulick had even got the chance to work with Tommy Thayer when they both contributed lead guitar and other stuff as additional musicians on that Psycho Circus album in 1998 which was the first new KISS studio album to feature the band's original lineup since 1979's Dynasty. Otherwise, the rest is history as they say. I sure do hope that Bruce Kulick gets a chance to rejoin KISS for the last time before they call it a day for good. Between the lead guitarists Ace Frehley, Bruce Kulick and Tommy Thayer, they have always been the best guitar players in their own ways and they were definitely legit for KISS. As for Vinnie Vincent & Mark St. John, they were not the best as both of them were very hard to work with. By the way, Bruce Kulick was one of the KISS band members not to wear any makeup designs during the non-makeup period and he had often stated that had he ever worn makeup in the band, he would have liked to have been the "Dog" since there was already a cat in the band. Other than that, I take my hat off to Bruce Kulick no matter what and I wish that he was still in KISS. And that's that. Why mess up the good thing?
When they played clubs rehearsing for the Revenge tour.Bruce played several old school KISS solos almost to the note as Ace laid them down.I really dug that.Vinnie only did that with a couple songs. The rest he was 🤪🤪🤪
