    I have it so bad it hurts my neck. It isn't the end of the world but some days I sure feel like it is. No energy in my body. I feel like I want to do things but when it comes to doing it my body days no. My mental health gets worse then better. It is horrible and i hope no one is diagnosed with it.

      The first step would be to get some routine blood tests done including thyroid function

      I guess the first thing to do should be going to see your doctor for blood test or what ever your doc suggests. Good luck.

    It's weird because I have it (I was diagnosed) but I have none of the symptoms except one (which is most likely to be caused by hypothyroidism, not many other diseases), and when I took medicine and my T4 went back to normal, even that didn't go away.

    I have every single one of these symptoms and high family history of a variety of thyroid issues ranging from mild to fatal, & my drs say my panels are “normal”… idk what to do because there’s no other answer.

      You need to go the holistic route. Honestly most doctors are not well educated.

      Have they checked your thyroglobulin levels? That doesn't check your hormone levels it checks if you have Thyroid cancer, which is usually asymptomatic, but you can still feel like crap from it

      there are more in depth tests that can be done than your day to day blood panel, and make sure youre seeing a specialist for it

    So, i overdosed a couple days ago, not on purpose im not gonna get into that but i don't remeber anything from when my family took me to the hospital, but i was reading the after visit paper and it just said i had hypothyroidism and idk but my throat hurts like shit. Is that because of the hypothyroidism?

    What is the prognosis?

    • @MedicalCentric
      @MedicalCentric  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The prognosis for hypothyroidism is generally quite positive with appropriate treatment. Hypothyroidism is a condition where the thyroid gland doesn't produce enough thyroid hormones, which are crucial for various bodily functions. If diagnosed and managed effectively, most individuals can lead normal, healthy lives with minimal complications. The standard treatment is thyroid hormone replacement therapy, typically with a medication like levothyroxine, which helps restore thyroid hormone levels to normal. With proper medication and monitoring, individuals with hypothyroidism can experience relief from symptoms and maintain good overall health. It's essential to work closely with a healthcare provider to ensure the correct dosage and monitoring for your specific condition. In most cases, people can manage their hypothyroidism effectively and enjoy a positive long-term prognosis.
