"Music serves me." He knew exactly how to we can build a strong base for our life, he knew exactly how things work... Jesus. I'm having a "braingasm"! 💥💥💥

The excesses of Louis XIV cost the head of his grandson Louis XVI. 🤔 It is a cicle: the excess of the grandfather are always payd by his grandsons. But no doubt that this movie one of a kind👌
Well he did also abuse his luck apparently, by being promiscuous in a court where everybody knew everything about everybody. It would have served him better, given his position at court, to live a life that was a bit more modest and respectful to his wife. The king scolded him because he placed his trust in Lully, gave him the ultimate position in court in a country where no one else would have given him any kind of big chance, because he was a foreigner and because of the bigotry towards Italians at the time. Given how lucky he got, with his position (none other than the one of being in charge of the court's music) a modicum degree of decorum would have been in order, and not hard at all to exert.
Treated badly ? He had everything thanks to Louis XIV and Molière, glory and money. If he hadn't leave Italy, he would have been nothing, and nobody would have even know his name

Pure brilliance.

Louis XIV and France the most powerful king and country in the World

LOL no. The French public was simply more developed for that to have happened whereas in England they suppress passion.
Huh???Louis XV more like...
Louis XVI was his great grand son.
