Azure rathalos have one of the best armor in the game, you will get high grade earplug and attack large with some deco. Also if you have slot in your weapon, you can also put the protection jewel to avoid triggering the demonic protection skill
Yep, though I opted for a slightly different mixed set to avoid the demonic protection, at least early on, since the Protection jewel requires a commendation. You can get commendations from the Dual Diablos hunt, but I dunno if it's 100% reward rate.

This is one of the most fun monsters I've ever hunted (of course in low rank). Once you get the hang of it, it's cut and dry (doesn't mean I burn through my regen a bit). I farmed this monster like you did in the whole playthrough livestreams lmao

The one time I fought this guy, his sped up animations while enraged made me have to pause the game laughing hysterically when i flashbombed him and he slammed to the ground unreasonably fast like gravity had been doubled
lol, as turns out if you knock a monster out of the air with an attack that would KO them, they land, stand up, and then get knocked out, lmao I haven't seen it happen before, so it's nice that I got it recorded :P
Yep, it's faster and has a couple of different actions, I believe Azure Rathalos (at least considering low rank) can do two air attacks instead of just one? And it can also aim towards you while in mid air, I don't know if regular Rathalos can do that. One thing Azure Rathalos does that I know Rathalos doesn't is charge at you with extreme tracking, and then follow up with another move, to avoid it you basically have to panic dive at an angle towards it, it's weird, it's hard to avoid, you just have to get lucky, or use a weapon that can block maybe lol.

Headhunter is right, Pierce ammo can kill Gaoren easily because his weak spot is in his shell. A full Ceanataur armor has pierce up if I remember correctly.
Jerremiah Penaflorida if you want to farm optimally then yes, GS , break everything then capture. However hammer is a lot easier to use against rathalos, except silver rathalos which fly up to do air attack a lot so you can just spam level 3 charge with GS while he is getting down from the flight.
No, hammer is for Silver Los aswell. None of the melee Weapons can hit his head in mhfu unless you're using hammer, with hammer, his head becomes a weakspot unlike Gold Rathian which her head can be hit easily with anything. Even Khezu Hammer(obtainable in High rank) can Kill Silver Los easily. Unlike the next gen games where you need ESP/mind's eye to hit Silver Los' head. In FU you just need to Bonk

Head Stagger probably refers to a stagger that comes from dealing damage to their head. Staggering can happen from any body part with a hitzone. hunstermonter.net/damagecalc.php Go here, plug in your information and what monster you're fighting, and it should show you how much damage you do and how much damage you need to do to stagger the monster. i got a question and it's not related to this but...what is a good set for 9*? cause i'm tired of not progressing cause of that impossible land of tremor key quest. even though they are just tigrexs they are soft but hits super hard but there is two. and i am having a bad time cause that quest is just beyond the extent of impossible.
It depends on what you're using. Earplugs and stuff like that aren't very useful vs Tigrex. Depending on your weapon, you could get guarding skills, or maybe evade distance to help avoid damage from the charging. Try and upgrade your armor as much as possible as well. I'll be covering it eventually, so, hopefully when I do that video will be more helpful

I'm pretty sure, yeah, but I think it only does like ~1 damage, so, you'll have to get it down to 1 HP first. Same with the taunt emote, it does damage as well, so do stones, but again, like 1 damage each hit, you can buff them with cat skills but it's...... I don't know why they put it in the game lol I guess it's just for memes.

World has more complex movesets and variations of these monsters but the ones in mhfu just spam their two moves with broken hitboxes. Can’t imagine the pain when I unlock silver rathalos
Yeah lol Azure Rathalos' charging is a bit much IMO, and sometimes I'm hit by his claws when I feel like I shouldn't be, and getting stunned from it is kinda bs, but that's just cause I don't ilke the stun mechanic at all. Sometimes the fight drags on and it's just annoying, but eh It's managable, I spose :P

This is useful for keeping the Rathalos away from *Area 9.*

Azure Rathalos equipment actually gives you more OP skills compared to the plain Rathalos.
Its armor gives you resistance to Water.

Not sure, hammer does a lot of damage, GS is good because it's so slow, HBG can do well with piercing ammo, haven't really thought about it yet.

hammering is the way to go fighting a rathalos, unless you're fighting sil of course.
I'd suggest Greatswords.
