If you are not a healthcare entity, but you do contract work for healthcare entities and may or may not come in contact with some data, what rules do you follow? Does that company (that does contract work) need to have a HIPPA officer? Is a company that does contract work covered by the HIPPA policies of the company they contract with or do they need their own separate policies?
