She used full cover extensions and filled the bottom of my nails with the gel/glitter mix. So this may seem silly. I've been doing gel nails for about 3 months and im pretty good at it. But the one thing I still struggle with is just basic gel polish application. I balance my hand on my other hand, I've tried using a detailer brush to go around the cuticles, but I still haven't mastered it yet and I would love to get some more tips and tricks so that I can be more successful. Thank you!
The detailer brush tip really helped me. If I flood the cuticle on my non dominant pinky, I just use a clean up #2 brush dipped in alcohol. Then redo the cuticle area with the tiny detailer brush. Works perfectly.

we only use a very thin layer of base gel because otherwise it can get hot, so we don't build the extension with it. We still need it before we move on to building though so we use it after. If you were wanting to build the whole nail with just concealer pink for example, we could do a thin coat of base gel on the natural nail and then build the free edge and the rest of the nail with concealer pink.

The closest would be something like Hype Myself, but it is a different shape, thickness and slightly different coloring.

Jw, why didn't I just use the same gel for the initial free edge for the whole nail. Why did you change from one clear gel to another?
