Hi Olha... I've been watching these videos great restoration. Too bad you don't have the Proxxon mini milling machine. That would come in handy for that drilling.
I have, but it's much faster to drill by hand...
Excellent drilling and shaping! A pleasure to watch! You're awesome!
Thank you very much!
First time in a while I had a chance to catch one of your live casts. Uncanny, I was working on a project that required wire straightening soft wire and rounded capped ends. Thanks to you, I have a way of doing it. It means so much that you share your gifts and this maker really appreciates it. Thank you.
I am glad that this video was useful to you!
Oh wow amazing work 👏👏👏
Thank you so much 😀
CC disabled--oops
I just checked - they just evaporated (((As if I didn't write them...
That's how I cut mouldings, too. Only I would Use the utility knife (aka Stanley) blades for having them in 100 blade boxes laying around.
Looks incredible, too.
Personally, I would fit, but not install the caps until after all the chainplates were set, for not wanted to wrestle with them in place.
I use these blades too! I never throw away even broken drills, files - everything can become an irreplaceable tool)))
P.S. They are not glued, so there will be no problems for the chainplates...
Hello Olha, fine craftmanship. Thank you for sharing. What kind of source do you use for the detailing of HMS Boreas ? Books about ships from the same period, like the AOTS frigate Diana, Pandora or other ships? Perhaps i have missed it that you have mentioned it earlier. Greetings from Germany!
Surprisingly, I found quite a lot of information about BOREAS. Her drawings are also available in the archive of the Royal Museum Greenwich. Part of her logbooks is published in the book: NELSON'S SHIPS A history of the Vessels In Which He Served (1771-1805) by Peter Goodwin, and I will upgrade the rest of the details from the book: The Arming and Fitting of English Ships of War (1600-1815) by Brian Lavery. And for the masting and rigging, I will use THE ELEMENTS AND PRACTICE OF RIGGING, SEAMANSHIP, AND NAVAL TACTICS by DAVID STEEL and Petterson's illustrations...
You have live casts? When? Thanks for this segment. Beautiful work on critical components!
These are just the premieres every Friday at 8:00 am...
What a difference to the previouse ones!! Outstanding! 👍
Thanks 👍
Olha excelente tu trabajo de restauración....🇲🇽🇲🇽....
Enorme travail sur ce Boréas ..Félicitations Ohla ...
Merci!
Muchas gracias!
agreed bien sur !
¡Me alegra que te guste!
I couldn't wait to see the progress of the BOREAS, you did an incredible job!! I will take the time to watch the previous videos.
Thank you very much! I think you will have to get stuck on TH-cam for a few hours)))
