    What pipe are you running mate?

    Did you mount the rudder servo in the tail or in the front ?

      In the front, and I had to add around 6oz to the nose to achieve a neutral CG. I can't imagine what it would take to run the rudder servo in the tail of this plane without a bunch of nose weight.

      @@RobertBurrow87 Do you know where neutral Cg is ? I think between 140 to 168mm ( in the manual) is making a difference

      @@florianbuchholz7103 Honestly, I just installed all the equipment and kinda picked it up around the tube to make sure it had the CG somewhere reasonable in relation to the wing tube, and moved/added weight after flying it.
      I have a feeling it's now at the back edge of the tube after flying it more and changing things around (it's actually electric now), and I would consider it neutral based on how it flies for me.

    DZo you feel you need more power or are you happy with gas setup?

    nice shred session. THanks for sharing. I will receive my blue 78 ng and gp 38 in the morning. Driving over to northwest rc to pick it up. Ive heard all these internet warriors about how the 78 inch ng and edge 540 is too heavy for the gp 38 and gas motors, well my friend, you just shut the haaters down with this flight. THe plane looks to have plenty of thrust and power to shred. good job. Btw how much does she weigh ready to fly?

      Thanks! I'm not sure what weighs, never remember to bring the scale with me. I've tuned it a little better since this flight and I think the GP38 does well. But it's not a powerhouse like an 85" with a GP61 or a 60" plane. I kinda wish it had just a tiny bit more power for the hover punch out. Haven't decided if I want to make it electric to get it. I had to add 5oz in the motor box and run a larger RX pack in front of the fuel tank to get it to a neutral CG. It was actually crazy tail heavy in this video. The plane flies really, really good though!

      @@RobertBurrow87what if you tried a 20x9 prop?

    • @RobertBurrow87
      @RobertBurrow87  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Dukesy Yeah I tried a 20x9 as well as a 21x8. The GP38 just wasn't quite enough for me. I've since gone electric with a Sunnysky 40cc and 22x10 and it absolutely rips. It's a whole different plane. I even run a pair of 6S 5000mah batteries and I actually prefer how it flies with the extra weight vs 3300mah packs which put it at the same weight as the GP38 with a full tank. I bet a DA50 would be pretty nice on it, assuming it doesn't make too much vibration.
