I've got 2023 but the more I see of what 2024 has, the more tempted I am.

PSE 2023 has almost everything that PSE 2024 has, except for the Color Match which I quite like, the Photo Reels (video soon), and the new look which I am neither here nor there on. If you think that the Color Match is worth $80 I would go ahead and do the upgrade, if not I would hold off a year or two. The only reason I upgrade every year is for my TH-cam videos, otherwise I would probably upgrade every 3-5 years.

I had to reluctantly uninstall Adobe Photoshop 7.0 because not only was it old and outdated, but it was not working right anymore on my Windows 11 computer.

That is the problem with older software, as operating systems get updated they gain new features that frequently make older software obsolete. I usually recommend upgrading software at least every 3-5 years just to stay somewhat current with the operating system. I know that in Windows the way graphics are handled has changed quite a bit since Photoshop 7.

@@HTGPhoto now I have another problem with this program. There is no PEN or ANCHOR tool which was the most important part of drawing and coloring on the computer.

@@Disneyfan82 You are right, there is no Pen tool in PSE. But, Affinity Designer (similar to Illustrator) has a great pen tool, so does Affinity Photo (similar to Photoshop). Right now you can get a 6 month free trial of the Affinity program suite, here is my video about that th-cam.com/video/wN06-hilNq4/w-d-xo.html

@@HTGPhoto I don't understand how they could stupidly remove one of the most important tools I ever used for art works in Photoshop, especially the newer version. It makes no sense for them not to include the pen tool.

@@Disneyfan82 Photoshop Elements is Adobe's program for consumers and people who are new to digital photo editing or just don't want or need the power of Adobe Photoshop. Adobe figures that if you are serious you will upgrade to Adobe Photoshop and they will make more money. So they look at Elements as just a pathway to Adobe Photoshop, which means it lacks a lot of the power and tools of the more expensive program. That is one of the reasons I like Affinity Photo, lots of power for the price of Elements.
