  • This Commercial Nigerian Chin Chin Recipe gives very tasty, crunchy,soft Chin Chin you will love.
    INGREDIENTS
    2kg flour
    1 and 1/3 cup sugar
    2 teaspoons baking powder
    1 cup milk flavour (Powdered)
    1/2 tablespoon grated nutmeg
    350g margarine
    1 and 1/2 tablespoon vanilla flavour (powdered)
    1 teaspoon cream of tartar
    780ml or 3cups+30ml water
    2 and 1/2 litres to 3 litres Vegetable oil
    Multiply the ingredients by 2 if you want to make 4kg quantity of flour.

    Thank you Ada for this recipe. I've long been looking for it. I make Chinchin for sale but after production, my profit is usually between 200 and 400 naira. It's so painful especially now ingredients have doubled the price and I see people packing so much Chinchin for less amount.       It depends on your pricing. Don't follow what others are doing, how they are packing it. Do what's best for you and fix your price tag on it people will buy especially if it is quality

    I starterted chinchin biz yesterday omo I was so shock ohh gain no be Dey ,I used 10eggs for and half kilos of flour just because I want it to be soft and crushy when it gets cold, immediately I saw this I just subscribed at one no time to waste

      You will get cream of tartar where you buy your baking ingredients, I advise you add cream if want the same result I got. Yes I didn't egg.

    Adasrecipes,Why do I find it hard after frying the chin chin? What am I doing wrong?       Hard or soft chin chin all depends on ingredients and in the rightful proportion. This chin chin recipe gave that soft,crunchy and melt in the mouth chin chin.
      You can still use egg and the tendency of the chin chin coming out hard might be there. It all depends.

      If you strictly use my measurement it will not be sticky.

      That means the water is too much or any liquid you add to it is too much, so it makes it sticky.

    I stirred it while frying, but foam kept coming out and started pouring out from the frying pan , am I not suppose to use eggs?

      You can choose to use add egg or leave it out. The major thing causing the foam is the egg, as the chin chin is getting done the foam reduces.

      You can only add egg if it home recipe but for commercial it will cost you alot and won't give you much gain.

      Egg added makes chin chin foam while frying. Try not to over crowd the oil,and stir at close intervals, fry on medium heat to avoid burning.

    I tried this recipe today with exact same measurement you gave but it came out terrible, the sugar was not enough, the chin chin was hard and crunchy wasn't even soft and tasty.
