My 3302 is having a problem with small drops of ink hitting the plate cylinder. I pull all rollers and clean the cross members that can have ink buildup but it still drip’s to the plate cylinder. Any thoughts?
Phil, Typically the night latch shaft that is between the 1st and 2nd ink forms (behind the 2nd ink form) will collect ink. This is more apt to happen with your running "long" ink or inks with lots of opaque white in them at higher speeds. The best way to fix this is to get that shaft as clean as possible then apply a thin film of grease on it, this will allow you to wipe off all ink in the future much easier. Try a little binding varnish or body gum in your ink to increase the tach may help or slow the press down a bit. I also do not suggest using the night latch levers on the NOPS side as when you turn them at the end of the shift the small drops of ink will get thrown right onto the 2nd form and right away have spots of ink in your nice clean rollers. Hope this helps, Paul
@@giovanniromano4361 thanks for replying. I did take out the middle form roller a couple months ago and that’s been the best thing I’ve done. Thanks again Giovanni

Running the machine without the middle form roller prevents any build up of ink on the night latch shaft been doing this for over 20yrs with no issues
