    aweeee! They are so cute!!! I'm so happy for this new beginning on the Lamancha side of your farm! I know you really wanted it 😊 I'm happy for you friend!
    24 goats is nothing right? 25 would have been bad 😊 but 24.....naaaaahhhhhhh
    Glad to hear you can do that with Christine! I had no idea that is how it works
    I'm pretty bummed with the ADGA thing, is taking FOREVER to transfer Clara in my name, they are behind I know but it's been super long, they have the papers and money but they are taking their sweet time!
    And that makes registering her babies impossible until that happens, so lots of decisions needed to be made before is too late to band them, I just don't want to end up with a lot of stinky bucks until they get their papers ready.
    I totally get the bottle feeding for bigger farms but like you I think otherwise is a lot of unnecessary work when the moms are available ( I get the testing for DHI) and stuff like that but still I'm not there yet.
    Thanks for sharing your babies with us!!!!
    Lety

      AGS is a lot faster with their paperwork and all of our registered Nigerian does are registered through them as we wait on ADGA to doube-register them. They have had my papers and money for my Nigerians since November. I hear that regular transfers are going faster, about 2 months. I'm hoping by the time we kid full-lamancha again in a year everyone's papers will be sorted!

When you started explaining getting Christine registered, I expected you to say a DNA would be part of the process. Could a DNA profile be performed to prove her genetic makeup as a full Lamancha? They look like they're doing well. Congrats! I'm still trying to work Calamity's sisters up to those two bottle meals, but they still stubbornly want their one to one and a half bottle meals (never ask a buckling apparently, we learned this week with Talia's brothers). I'm looking forward to bumping them up a level because that's one step closer to being able to leave out lunch, and that's even closer to weaning! Happy bottling!

      @SageandStoneHomestead  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Right now talia and Calamity will take 20oz at morning and evening. I'm going to wean Hamish AKA "Fattie" off of the lunch bottle this weekend. He is a monster.
      Thanks again for all of your help!

    Bottle babies have convinced me I need to get contacts lol

    • @SageandStoneHomestead
      @SageandStoneHomestead  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My eye doctor told me she doesn't suggest I get them again. I've had them before though! I have one eye that is correctable only to 20/30 vision and she is worried about my 20/20 eye getting hurt and me being kinda SOL with my vision. I have a history of my eyes creating new blood vessels in my eye under the contact and when there are a lot of those it clouds the vision. My eyes are junk! 😅

      @@SageandStoneHomestead it's nice they have a sweet momma like u to look after them. Our step dad's mom owned a diary farm and his brother owned a goat farm when we were young. I remember going to visit the "farm" as being a highlight of my childhood. I loved all the animals and freedom to roam. The baby goats were my favorite. Our aunt would knit them sweaters to keep them warm in the winter. It was the cutest. Now there's a goat farm with my name, Kara Kahl (name is Kara), in my state in a city with my last name. I've never been there but what a coincidence!
