It's funny how the two times Ridge and Taylor were married in the 90's, the show had better writing, storylines and production values than the one time Ridge and Brooke were married.
Seriously tho.. There is such a marked difference in the relationship between Taylor and Ridge and Brooke and Ridge. Taylor /Ridge have a depth in their relationship, while Brooke's relationship with Ridge has always been so shallow and based on very superficial things.
Not to mention all those adorable Tridge family scenes from when Thomas and the twins were little. But of course, all of that had to be destroyed to prop Bridge...
Yes, especially that ridiculous rescue at Morgan's place, where Ridge run through the house with a risk to run over the person he was rescuing and then him passing out. I had a great laugh with that one. And Taylor's hysterics with Morgan throughout.
This is what makes it more sad and disappointing that Ridge and Taylor didn't stay together in the end. They overcame SO MUCH- Taylor "dying" twice, her nearly dying here giving birth, then everything that happened with Morgan. They were the best couple B&B ever had and after 2005 they threw them away just for umpteen endless cycles of Ridge and Brooke partner swapping and bed hopping. 🤢🙄
I think because of Nick .In 2oo5 The triangle was changed to Brooke/ Nick/ Ridge The on screen chemistry between KKL and JW Rivaled KKL and RM They didn’t need to throw Taylor into the mix

Season 10 was good as well, I guess the show Picked up in 1997, I hear the baby Thomas paternity storyline was great! Brooke Was Apparently at her Very Worst Around That Time Having Faked A Pregnancy And A Miscarriage to Make Sure Taylor Wouldn't be Able to Take Ridge Away from her!
This was such an intense scene everybody thought Taylor Hayes Forrester was going to die😮 Ridge was so overwhelmed with emotion 🤧 he was holding Steffy and Phoebe in his arms
This is FABULOUS and B&B at its BEST!!! The creative ideas of Bill & Lee Bell clearly seen. Brad Bell was one of the writers, but his parents still had creative control. Today's B&B is Brad at the helm completely & you can clearly see the difference!!! Bring on Season 9, 11, & 12 which leads into Season 13, if I'm following correctly!!!

*Characterization in S13 compared to S8* Like many have noticed, there is a marked improvement in the writing in this season compared to where we are right now in Season 8. A lot of characters and character dynamics seem to be back in place. We can clearly see (as *Nick* noted) Taylor being fully restored to her Good Girl archetype (and she is in fact a kind of Super Taylor, because in this episode she comes across as nothing short of saintly). Brooke is back to being the Bad Girl she was meant to be (but in an extreme way - her "Super Brooke" era that will eventually lead her to Deacon has begun). The relationship between Brooke and Stephanie is back to normal, with Stephanie not even pretending to accept Brooke. Stephanie is largely herself (but the Big Bear confrontation we just missed shows the first signs of the "Gangsta Grandma" Stephanie to come - which is also a more extreme version of Stephanie). Ridge is exactly the same as he was during Caroline's death storyline, which is him being the most "adult" and stable version of himself. It feels like the imbalance of S8, with Taylor and Brooke switching roles, has been corrected.
For sure her out of body experience put her in that holy place which I personally don't like. Because there will be no good storylines for her character alone. She will give up working for a while, so she will be reduced to the Ridge's wife only and mother. Great season for Tridge as a couple but I prefer the first marriage.

@@annieo6527 you perfectly wrote about that narrowed characterization in a post under season 8/9 and that is true for the Brooke character. Writers put the characters in the place senior wanted, but the narrowed characterization as you said, ruined some dynamics and that is true also for Stephanie.
It's always been how Ridge feels over her own father. Was the same thing when they thought Taylor died in the plane crash. Everything and everyone focused on how Ridge was feeling, with poor jack by the way...

Sorry, but why is there so much hate for Katherine Kelly Lang? I get that her character Brooke isn't a very likeable person, but why would you attack the actress herself regarding her exterior. I made mistake when I didn't stay in heaven.... It's 16 years. I have metastatic breast cancer all over me and I have brain tumor my left side of my head etc killing me slow... I want to be dead right now... I don't have no good reason to stay alive.... My abusive rotten so called family hate me don't care about me they are treating me like I am invisible and my husband never loved me he's user.... I hate everyone don't trust anyone.... Having Clarke back on the show makes me realize how much I missed him in S8!
I've always loved Clarke. He was the best looking man on the show for me, and the actor perfectly acted the role of a sometimes likeable cad
