You have unfiltered air going into the front of the air box. There is suppose to be an accordion tube that connects that to the charcoal canister. It’s missing in video.

I had a friend who used to have the gti mk3 vr6. He had a magnaflow exhaust on it. sounded very similar to this one. Super nice car.
Not sure but this may be a magnaflow. They sound great regardless

Looks just like mine I bought last spring of 2020, then it got rear ended sadly, 67k original miles.

That air box is missing a pipe allowing dirty air bypassing the filter. Not good if it’s been off for a long time
