i need to go to Switzerland now.. if i ever die bombing hills on my longboard, i want it to be in Switzerland.. it just looks so beautiful and peaceful :D
They haven't been in a war since 1815 but the army did a short civil war in 1847. Swiss is the most peaceful place in Europe more peaceful than Canada.

Absolutely one of the best boarding videos I've ever seen , I've done a few sweet runs down a few mountain roads in my 58 years of life and still board every day. I felt like I was along for the ride, great job .

Surfing and Skating lasts into older age,,i still do both, however still prefer surfing,, doesn't hurt when you bail..

Also, sometimes there is no possibility of riding through a fresh snow. My entire life is getting used to ice and hard snow.

I love this sport and 1. That sounds completely dangerous. and 2. Skateboarding/long boarding was always meant to be calming and it should not be extreme like that

This video hits all my senses , gets my adrenaline flowing and draws me in to the point I can focus on nothing else besides that itch to skate. The place, the music , the skaters, even down to the skaters names ( Lillian barou & ben pellet) ... it all seems magical as if it were an instant in time that was supposed to happen and will be remembered. I’m new to longboarding, is there something that can happen too new bearings besides aging and rusting.

They use race bearings built with super high precision and manufacturing standards. You might not want to do with with your stock bearings lol. Worst case scenario your bearing can explode, but your wheel wouldn’t fly right off since there’s a nut keeping it in place. I’ve had it happen, your board just starts braking all of the sudden because the wheel is contacting the truck

Loved it !,Switzerland is the long board Mecca of the world. The best sequence for me is from 3:37 , the sweeping bend ,excellent filming !.
Do you go into every blind turn like, oh this may be my last turn ever and I may be videographed being blown to pieces by incoming traffic.
Hey man, what 'blind turn' are you talking about? Also, seems like they stayed in their lane like 99% of the run so there wouldn't really be any incoming traffic.
@@bedlam8428 a very very little weight transfer mistake or error could make you crash in' the first incoming traffic vehicle and would be almost impossible to avoid.
This stuff is very risky, even for veterans riders.
At 3:10 the first rider was very close to crash and ride the grass, hitting the rail.
@@crocussativus4671 As experienced riders, they have a lot more control over these factors than the general public give them credit for. I know for sure they're not thinking that "every turn could be my last" - it's really not quite that dangerous if you know what you're doing. It may seem inconceivable to most but, these guys probably feel just as confident on a board as they do on their own feet. What might seem dangerous to you, could actually be relatively safe for someone who has the necessary experience, skill, physical ability, equipment and preparation.
@@crocussativus4671 ive been downhill skating for 3 years and let me tell you unless something makes you fall off, youre not gonna get hurt if youre experienced. the media makes us look like daredevils and idiots but we know exactly what we're doing. this was a perfectly safe run, any issue would have been another drivers fault for being in the wrong lane
@@crocussativus4671 ive never "just fallen off" and you also actually have a really respectable margin of weight transfer or mistakes if youre on a smooth road, its not as dangerous as it looks

This gives me the vibes every time. I've long board before but not in Switzerland. imagine listening to chill music and long board on mountains... Man, that will give me the vibes alot
So much respect for Downhill Longboarders it takes many years of riding to have that kind of control and skill.. I ride electric long boards that do 30+mph and I think that's fast but you know these guys are doing between 50-70mph now that's crazy FAST!

WOW,I remember riding down hills in the 70's with wooden boards and bailing when the board would start wobbling.
I keep imagining the speed that should arrive at the time of the descents in a great straight line!
