I did - Delhi - Amritsar - Delhi .. on my Meteor Fireball .. it was really smooth.. the only thing I needed for this ride for an air cushion for my seat .. and apart from that no complaints from this bike.
Hi I have also been riding meteor for almost an year. But, I don't agree with the milleage. My bike gives at the most 30-32 Km/lit. I haven't exceeded the speed beyond 65 to 70 Km/Hr. Also one more thing about potholes you mentioned if we reduce bike speed I don't think that is a con and even if we go through potholes the balancing of the bike is so good that you won't trip or fall. And I totally agree with the pilion seat, they should have increased a length a bit so that elder women like our mom or other relatives might feel comfortable on the bike. All in all great info thanks a ton.

Firstly sorry for replying late Electra 2007 keep it with you because now this is collectable bike. Royal Enfield discontinued these bikes. And if you want a bike for long rides go for meteor and if your budget allows u can go for Himalayan and if you want raw power go for interceptor. 1. Not facing huge heating issues. Even Harley have heating issues 2. You upgrade rear suspension with gas charged one. 3. Only few bikes face the issue of Injection coil. Royal Enfield recall these bikes and mostly the issue is resolved. 4. When your bike is on side stand then you will get false readings. But as you put your bike on centre stand you will get accurate readings 5. If you are not satisfied with the service. Please do a complaint against the dealer. brother how much delivery time they told you while booking, also have you ask around the dealer, whats the usual delivery time for meteor recently with their showroom.
Now Royal Enfield delivered bikes on time. Now you have to wait for 3 months maximum. And if you want supernova blue immediately i can arrange for you tomorrow. But you have to take delivery from sriganganagar Rajasthan.

Heating issue to be controlled ( could use liquid cooling) and weight could have lower.
