Love it, I'm stunned at how well that has turned out and saving £48 million at the same time! Great idea to use the Hammerite paint for the black as it adds a shine to the lines against the matt block colours. Hope you have signed it and given it a title.
Amazing painting, Marc - I heard your comment that if you had to do the video over again, you'd make it shorter - but when I watched the video, I was mesmerized - I'm so glad you included as much of your process as you did! An original is one of a kind, of course, but I could see this reproduced as prints, greeting/note cards, on merch (towels, sheets, chef's aprons, etc), if you were interested in trying to generate some income. AND this video is the perfect documentation that the work is genuinely your creation, from start to finish. Love what you do and how you do it! Looking forward to what's ahead for you. Blessings and hugs from Wisconsin, USA.
Awwhhh! Reading all of the comments on this one is so heartwarming. That is one thing good about many 'umans... when we are able to appreciate and congratulate others successes. I don't know about anyone else, but often Marc, your videos, your wild hobby-house experiments, your kindness and thoughtfulness, care towards Dave and all the other D's in your little slice of heaven, adds value to my life and sometimes even helps me put some things weighing on me, aside for a moment.
Amen. Me thinks you doubting yourself and your abilities less and appreciating all of the amazing things you've done, including sharing your adventures and thoughts with us lot more, is a necessary step in your evolution!
many people think - oh, that's so easy to paint - no, it's not. it takes many hours and concentration, just preparation, masking and priming. your back hurts if you don't have an easel that is height adjustable. as a retired painter i'm itching to start again...Marc you did a wonderful job
Mark the colour you have chosen is just out of this world goes lovely with the wall colour and your furniture well done you should be so very proudxxxx
Inspired. Colorful. Meticulous. Fabulous. The inner artist has blossomed. Perfect addition for your home, that wall in particular. We should have known your love of color when you painted those walls that wonderful blue. I see a colorful front door and outside window frames in your future. No reason to be surrounded by bland when there is a shole world of color available. I hope this makes you happy. It makes me happy to look at it.
Fantastic, that goes so well on the blue wall! Now you need to knock out a Jackson Pollack or a Gerhard Richter for the other wall. Love the moment when you peel off the masking tape.
I did something similar on my bathroom wall years ago. It was such a satisfying experience. I just winged it and had a lot of fun. Mine was more monochromatic than yours because of the paint I had available. I wish I had a photo, but I don't. 😕 Anyway, it's something I'll always remember. I really enjoyed watching you create this beautiful painting.
OMG! Your first ever painting turned out sooooooo well. Everything about it - the design, the size, the colours, where you've put it on the wall - AMAZING! I'm so happy to see you feel proud of it - you should. I'm not art expert and whilst I'm pretty good with design, I struggle with drawing stick people 🤣 but art, in all its forms, always comes down to how it makes you feel - doing it, appreciating/admiring it. That's everything it is. No Sotherby's Finance-flexing of the Filthy Rich required. BRAVO! Seeing this video this morning helped set my day up with joy. I appreciate this Marc! 🐨❣
Brilliant Mark! Your next one could be a “Rothko”-ish one…… not so difficult to do. (I say this because I’ve done one) . Or if you like dribbling paint, how about a “Jackson Pollock” ??😁
Dear Marc I absolutely love your painting it has made such a difference to your room cosied it up. It has also inspired me to give this a try I love the fact that you showed us the whole process well done an artist in the making x
I’ve been looking forward to watching this vlog but wanted to binge view all your others from day one first! I’m all caught up now! Wow, what a stunning piece of art you have created - the colours and their positioning and combination are so uplifting!
Wow the painting is spectacular ,very impressive and good job on the video too it was great fun to watch you create , your editing skills are just fine.
Good Marc truly amazing ,I prefer yours to the one that sold for silly money, and perfect on that wall .So it's true there is noithing you cannot do , when are you taking orders 🙂x
It's hip to be square , or rectangle ;0) great effort , beauty is in the eye of the beholder ..... apparently she is everywhere .... I'm still looking for her
Marc..I’m an artist, I don’t think I could do this as well as you. Wonderful interpretation of the overrated Modrian. You could sell mini ones..people would love an original piece of art, for fraction of the price. 😊
Not to be awful Marc I didn’t think your painting was going to be that good, it’s really brilliant well done, makes the art farty world look really silly wow 😮
Love it, I'm stunned at how well that has turned out and saving £48 million at the same time!

No, I just did it without thinking too much :-)
