I am a suicidal person, this was my 13th suicidal attempt since 2014. Most times when I feel suicidal, when I get a chance to escape the feeling for a minute, I just go play "A Poem For Bad Day" by Shane Koyczan. But today, that poem didnt do me justice and somehow my finger decided to click play on this woman's piece right here and right at 14:02 is where I found life! Thank you for giving me a reason to stay alive! May God and the ancestors bless you on my behalf for saving me!
“I have never broken a single bone in my body. I want you to remember me like this, whole and undamaged. I do with my bones what I’m unable to do with my promises, I keep them” 🥺❤️❤️
You are so talented and you inspire me a lot. I don't know how many times I have watched your video since many years back, even today it feels good to just listen to your beautiful voice and inspiring words.
Still awesome even after listening for the second time. I think we should take poetry out of the box. Let it fly and navigate those million possible paths into that individual who could not have ever been touched, stopped or even pushed by his or her obscure environment. I was hearing a voice as she spoke that said, break out liberate yourself. You are already here, you cannot exit without notice. Your value is priceless.
wow, it really broke my heart when the audience laughed in response to her, "I've always known this body is not mine alone..." at 18:16... if only they understood the pain and frustration behind those words... anyway I love this woman and her beautiful poetry. thank you thuli zuma
ice can we see the audience sometimes ... she is good and wonderfully made too , concentrating on the poetry was my love for this string words coin together artistically to immaculate meaning in my ear ... i love her ...
"There is a universe of decisions expanding behind me, each star a YES that would have easily been a NO... A choir of decisions leading me forth... " Beautiful
Loving every of her poems but love more that last poem. The fate of man hanging on the threads of a three letter word yearning to be freed for an action... Yes.
Its LIKE a combination of Joshua Bennett and Andrea Gibson in SA, but in a chocolate hour glass. I think this would have been appreciated more in a small room full of ears that pay attention to detail...looking at how she carrys her words
Wow🔥🔥🔥 that's a great piece and guys also check on @lord_sestar on Instagram for a poem entitled "Amaninakazi" which is basically about women and their struggles.
Mother Africa A capable single mother who can look after the other; She is known as Mother Africa. "Young and beautiful in form, physically well endowed that speaks out silently aloud. Born poor from extreme poverty and to face an everyday hard work labour; A desire not to savour and yet found joyfully happy, because of her true virtue honesty." Every week that leads to months and many years; A preying predator wealthy benefactor seek to sort after her too allure with all his riches and seductive charm. Her response is always quick at once: Even tho i have inherited so little; 'My wisdom is my freedom!!' "To conclude: Many males wanted to lay and sleep with her as a bound ground servant; However! No matter what, she kept faithfully her honourable dignity and integrity." A Copyright Reserved Shared Poem www.proverbpoems.yolasite.com www.givehelp.wix.com/donate
