This is absolutely fantastic, The only negative is that they should have left out the soldier at the end , the reason: Up to that point it looked like a video from real life. The soldier removed the suspension of disbelief.
@@mustang60348 Oh u mean that. yeah I agree to that. The animation transition seemed choppy. Maybe a more smooth transition would've made a perfect piece. But for an independent guy, this is still amazing.

This is really cool! Video wizardry was well done; additionally, I especially liked the soundtrack you chose. Just starting out with Blender...making donuts, exploding buildings, desktop water features, etc., learning the ropes. Rendering times are long for videos, but results are awesome (using Cycles). Videos like this keep me wanting to try stuff.
these videos are insane! if i were u i would write a short story and make it happen with this kind of animation. a simple story with this cgi skill and could find yourself in the film industry real fast.
You again, with these quality Vfx! The compositing was so good i honestly was trying to spot the matte painting parallax and did not notice it was actual footage. I'm glad you showed it was tracked footage, did you track it in blender?
Looks beautiful! Was hoping to learn how to use a helicopter in Blender realistically for my next short film... I'm starting to think I should just hire you!
Animation looks great. If you don't mind a bit of a tip, the pilot would not have come in hot like that in the direction wind due to vortex ring state. Otherwise looks awesome.
Bro this is super realistic can you please show a short tutorial , blender 2.8 is so much easier and better but there aren’t many videos on it for the noobs like me
WOW. Great job. I just have a question, is this up for download anywhere? This is really amazing. I would love to take apart the file and see how it works!
i know you were joking but heres basically how the smoke works he made a smoke simulation going to the right (probably because of a wind forcefield) and then for the smoke to get blown away like that he probably had a turbulance forcefield that was a child to the rotor, hope it helped :)
Pretty good, jumping out troopie is not quick enough, looks like you have used mixamo and heli legs don't flex that much. When you jump out the chopper you crouch not stand and wind effects on you is pretty strong. :)
@@julienvfx Oh that's interesting news. I came upon AE2Blend looking for a better tracking solution but read it hasn't been updated to support 2.80+ so I didn't even try it. Cool, will buy it this weekend! Great composition, btw.
blender doing all the magic now
Because blender blends the cinematic universe

You sound like you just suffered major emotional harm because you've been told Santa isn't real, lol
@@moravianlion3108 If you got that from what I said, perhaps it's time to look in a mirror.
i think it looks more interesting where there are people in a video. idk just objects seems boring to me.
@@kentt5563 It's not the fact there is a solider, it the quality of the animations of the soldier vs the rest of the video.

Merci 👍

wow. about 3 days rendering time.
Those are the adobe tracking points? What addons you use to convert the data?
How did you deal with the render artifacting when it comes to cycles and rendering at lower sample counts
How you made grass move? Especialy when heli was close to landing, grass started moving more
thank you
all i need is the chopper model .. where can i download it ?
Thankiau
Dude, that is really impressive! How did you make the smoke effect to work at all?? ;-)
Just a Joke, Blender is the best..

Amazing grass simulation. How did you get the grass move fast, but kept it fixed ? And did you use blender for the simulation?
When you see the landing suspension of the helicopter when it touches the ground it kinda bounces.
super well done but a bit short
with eevee it's faster
