- This easy candied Popcorn recipe lets you create a rainbow of flavors and colors. Learn how to create these amazing colors using my methods and techniques to achieve the perfect crunch for your Candied Popcorn.
This recipe is great for any occasion and can be used for any event.

POPCORN RECIPE

FULL RECIPE- 3 microwave bag of popcorn
4 cups Sugar
1 cup Water
1 cup Light Corn Syrup
4 Tbsp unsalted butter
🍿When making multiple colors it’s better to divide mixture equally in 3 parts to achieve full coverage.
🍿 When making solid colors it’s better to divide your popcorn into 3 batches, with each batch being equivalent to one bag of microwave popcorn when using air popcorn or already popped popcorn. This is a better way to achieve a full color coverage.
SMALL RECIPE- 2 regular microwave bag of popcorn
2 cups Sugar
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup light corn syrup
🍿When making multiple colors it’s better to divide mixture equally in 3 parts to achieve full coverage.
🍿When making solid colors it’s better to divide your popcorn into 3 batches, with each batch being equivalent to one bag of microwave popcorn when using air popcorn or already popped popcorn. This is a better way to achieve a full color coverage.
Bake at 300° for 15 minutes, every 5mins Remove popcorn from the oven and flip and fold popcorn, Place popcorn back in the oven for the next five minutes, repeat the process until the 15 minutes is up.
SHELF LIFE
Being that this is a homemade mixture the shelf is a bit different from a manufactured company but This popcorn lasts a long time at room temperature in an air tight container for at least 45 - 60 days! Keeping your popcorn packaged properly makes a huge difference, It’ll be good for at least 1-2 weeks. I don’t refrigerate them, I keep them out at room temperature.

Hi Ro, I love all your video's. I just tried to make this and my popcorn stuck to the bottom on my pan with i set it to dry. I had to use a heavy spatula to remove the popcorn but it all looked broken the popcorn was in pieces. What did i do wrong?

Love this!! Love all ur videos lol. Can we make candied popcorn with airbrush colors too? My daughters graduating this May and her colors are navy and silver. Can I use the metallic silver airbrush color like those used in apples? Thanks
Thank you and congratulations to your daughter, but I have never used the metallic colors for my popcorn and the airbrush colors are a waterbase so I’m not sure how that’s going to turn out. It doesn’t hurt to try when I get some extra popcorn. I’m gonna try and see how that turns out but I’ve never used the water-based colors for candy popcorn before.

I'm loving it now I was selling popcorn. I was robbing myself your 5 oz was your large I had one size it was the large size it was 7.5 oz not counting the of food coloring I spent about 50 to 55 dollars including a 25 lbs bag of popcorn I made $425. I still have more popcorn for more profit. Some was Gourmet Popcorn. 😵😵😵

Hi! I own a kettle corn business. If you keep it in an airtight container, it will last for months. If you tie off the bags with a twist tie, they will last at least two weeks. Or that has been MY experience. She has heat sealed the bags so they should last for months.

Thank you for this video. I just tried this and noticed that my popcorn shrunk while in the oven and some of them got distorted as well. Any advise as to why and how to avoid that?
That do tend to happen at times so what I normally do is look for a certain brand of popcorn, which is the ones that I use in this video to prevent that from happening or don’t add your candy. Mix to the popcorn right away because if it’s too hot, it will do that, so just wait a few minutes to add to your popcorn in the bowl

No, in total the popcorn is being bake for 15 minutes. You’re placing the popcorn in the oven every five minutes after you have flipped your popcorn

Hello, we met at the Ultimate sugar show last year in ATL. I tried your popcorn recipe and it was a complete failure. I have made this before but, a different recipe, and hands down it worked first time. After I cooked for 5 mins., it started to set up before I even could stir it in the popcorn. I went step by step. Complete disaster!
