  • In this video, you will see a Canadian Air Force C-130 Hercules suffer an Emergency Landing upon arrival into Prestwick Airport Tuesday 1st November.
Number 3 engine was completely out, number 4 engine had electrical warnings showing but was still running. It prompted an in house emergency turnout by fire service and ops vehicles. All this can be seen in this video.
Also featured is a rare US Navy Hercules with a rather cool decal on it, check it out.
I must apologise for the audio issue throughout regarding the wind noise and low volume, as you may be aware this is the first time I'm using my new gear, so it's gonna take time to get used to. I will be spending time this coming weekend sorting it out.
Please Subscribe to my TH-cam channel for free, it would help me out massively.

Wild weather here in Ayrshire today. Glad to see the military aircraft C-130 land safely at Glasgow Prestwick. Thanks Lewis.

Thanks for the video. Everything everybody did was SOP. Once did a precautionary shutdown of number 2 for a low prop oil light over the middle of the Gulf of Mexico. Flew home to Dyess AFB in Abilene, TX USA on the remaining three. Lightly loaded C-130s fly just fine on three. Yes, I know in the middle of the ocean we didn't have a place to land, but the performance of the remarkable Herk is such that that was the choice we made. 😀

Thanks for your great comment Jeffery. Perhaps you might want to check out one of my recent videos, it is similar to the issue you had where by a C-130 shut down number 3 and had issues with 4 electrical warning lights at Prestwick, Scotland.

@@LewisMacdonaldMedia I'll give that a watch. Anything having to do with the C-130 peaks my interest. I was a loadmaster and have over 5,000 hours of flight time in the venerable Hercules. I have done several rotations to Mildenhall and when we weren't actually flying working missions for USAFE, for training a crew would do what we called 'Scotland for Lunch' flying low-level routes to meet recurring training requirements. Scotland is a beautiful place to fly. I am a cyclist and have always wanted to return to Scotland and do some bike touring. 🚲

Excellent stuff Jeffrey. You might want to subscribe to my channel as we get a lot of hercs up here in Scotland from all over the world, mainly USAF or USN and Canadians. If you have any footage of your time flying about in Scotland feel free to connect with me by emailing Info@lewismacdonaldmedia.co.uk as I'd love to see those.

Oh no, it's the dreaded three engine approach!
I think my heart rate might be higher if I was flying an F-35 with an engine out approach.

313 was so excited by the drama they forgot how to land a plane properly on 4 engines :D
