@Awesometrax It is at least good that he regrets it. Other contestants like S16 Johnny have also expressed remorse for how they acted on their season, but some people like S16 Matt would prove to be just as bad if not worse than they showed themselves to be on their season.
Imagine if instead of runner-ups, Gordon Ramsay invited Raj, Louie, Joseph, Colleen, Jason Underwood, and Spaghetti Josh as the returning chefs. That would be the most entertaining service ever.

Peak Russell was the challenge where they ran food trucks for blue collar city workers, and while the others made food truck food like burgers or roast chicken, Russell made octopus. He came in last place, but it still wasn't his fault. The city workers were just uncultured morons who couldn't appreciate fine cuisine.

I love when previous contestants make cameos. This season with this service plus earlier when Gordon calls Ralph to boost Royce's morale, 11 when the final 5(?) go against previous winners, 12 when Rock, Dana (from this very season) and Paul come on as judges. 15 and 16 too, but those weren't really mere cameos. It's always fun to see familiar faces.
Has she had the best career outside of Hell's Kitchen? Yes. Was the GOAT inside Hell's kitchen? Not even close. Someone like Meghan ran circles around Cristinas performance on the actual show. Meghan didnt do a single mistake the whole season while Christina was seen struggling a lot especially early. Meghan was dominating a season where 3 other chefs would probably had won most other seasons.
It's fair enough she drastically improved, but we all know way back then she did not deserve to make it that far. It's incredible to retroactively prove you deserve to be in that group, though.

Lets remember that hells kitchen also spliced Garret saying that he cooked raw chicken because it was "faster" in the first black jacket service of season 2, when in reality he said that at a later moment. Hells kitchen raw, proves that. There could be alot we are missing that is added for drama.
I love when they bring back returning chefs because it really shows what HK and Gordon Ramsay's standards do to these chefs. We really don't see it in the course of the show because the change is gradual and the show is mostly focused on when a chef messes up, but my goodness is it a massive improvement. It's true outside of HK, too. Those that have had a boss like Gordon Ramsay know that bosses like that take you to a whole other level and in many industries, these bosses are _known_ and working for one, even for a short time, is considered a massive boost to your resume.
I need a season comprised purely of early boots as well as some all-time notorious contestants (for skill or personality issues). Imagine Mr. "They know who they are" Joseph alongside Raj, Matt and Colleen. I love trainwrecks.

Jay went on to not only be one of Ramsay's sous chefs, but ALSO working with Jon Taffy atfferd Taffer on Bar Rescue, so I think between all of that they got the edge. (He says 10 years after this episode actually aired)

Of course almost everybody did well, but if she's this "bad" chef then shouldn't she have made several mistakes or not kept up? She was flawless in that service on a station she struggled with the last time she was at hells kitchen. She definetly got way better in those 8 years.

Season 10 was the worst chefs with teamwork and they had to go up against the previous runner-ups in a cooking challenge I knew this wasnt gonna be a far fight lol
When they do these episodes of the returning chefs win they should get the opportunity to stay and finish the competition. If they Choose to stay they should get to choose who they want to replace.
