Time of year the repotting was done: October 11 You'll learn about: 1) The size pot appropriate for a plant this big & heavy. 2) The soil mix for a succulent growing outdoors in a hot, dry climate. 3) The steps taken to ensure successful repotting & growth. Here's the aftercare: I let the plant settle in for 7 days before watering (I had watered the plant 6 days before the repotting process). I will water the plant every 2 weeks in the hot summer months, & every 4 weeks in the winter months. The watering schedule will be adjusted depending on the weather. My Aloe Vera is now very happy. The plump leaves of this plant give me lots of Aloe Vera gel! Thanks for watching, Nell xo
Glad you were able to save that pot... I remember when you got it.... yes, I have been watching you for a long time.... Take care and thanks for the memories.
I pulled mine out in pieces, separated her, took out all the brown, separated all the soil on the roots as much as I could and I got 2 pots out of it. I took a lot of the "pups" and gifted those. I am going to separate "mom" and put her in a pot alone ❤
Leaves are so long and wide. If you want thickness, water 1 day earlier than your normal routine. Test that a few times and if they aren't at your desired thickness, then try another day earlier and see the effects after 2 months. I understand that they can get root rot if it always has water, but there's somewhere in between that can really make them plump. Even if you don't do this, your aloe is impressive as it is.
Nell, I too have a huge container of aloe vera which I thinned a couple years ago. Now I’m pulling out all my aloe vera from the front yard. Eventually it gets so messy and overgrown

Such a handy trick with the shovel.
Hi - It works well with heavier plants; we don't want to be moving them any more than we have to! Nell
I remember the video when the original pot was spray painted. 🙂
Oh my goodness! I believe that pot was originally brown. I've painted it a few times. Thanks for watching! Nell!
me too.
I just did the same! I've had her for over 20 years ❤
It was much needed! Mine is about 6 or 7 years old - much happier now! Nell

That's great - the pups ups are always fun to give away! Nell
