Also it depends if it's solid or hollow but if everything but style is same there shouldn't be much difference. But I agree with you, it would be an interesting video to watch about subtle differences between chains

Franco 3. rope box and bead are NOT durable, and yes it does matter if the chain is solid or hollow but since were talking about JACOJE, which does not sell hollow nor should you buy hollow.
I have two gold chains that i don't really take off. I had a fake rope chain for many years, but i decided to invest in a smaller rope chain, and a link chain.. So i wear them together, they blend well. Orthodox Jews don't wear Jewelry so i kinda tuck in under my shirt. When i workout though you can def see the real BLING :D

Don’t buy hollow chain crap!!! If a large chain is only 400.00, it has 120.00 worth of gold. It is gold macaroni. They break, and break again, a thousand times. Difficult to repair and won’t stay repaired.

Good question , I usually don't want to pay more then 75 percent mark up and you'd be surprised how good that can be in comparison . I had a coupler jewlers try to offer me 177% Mark up over melt .

Gold doesn't come out of the ground as chains. People (skilled ones) have to make them and they appreciate getting paid for work. The jewelry retailer also needs to make a profit if they want to remain open. This isn't complicated stuff, ground level economics. Want cheap Gold, buy bars or shot, even coins. Not jewelry.

I have a 7mm 26in 14kt diamond cut rope that I daily wear along with a 22in 5mm rope and a 22in 4mm rope. I’m a bigger dude so the 7mm fits me well for a daily chain. I wear all my chains daily and never had a problem. If you’re on the fence about the 7mm and have the funds I’d say go for it! You won’t be able to buy gold jewelry for exact scrap value unless you get lucky buying it used from someone. Even people who sell their used jewelry almost never sell it for scrap value. Only been lucky getting that price twice in my life. $10 above gold value per gram is a good deal. Jewelry shop I go to sells 24k jewelry at $5 above gram, but they charge an extra $20-$200 on top depending on the labor they do to make the piece.

All jewelers are over priced. Most chains are done by machines. No need to pay 2, 3 times the weight value for solid gold chains.

14k is more pure gold than 10k meaning a lot more of the weight from the 10k is from different metals that are used to make the chain
