The Barra is one of my favorite engines to come out of any ford. I recently had one sent here state side so I can put it in my maverick. Awesome video guys.

Yes, they were sold locally here, alongside lax import laws and a strong 'Car Culture' being apart of our Aussie heritage. Up until the last half decade or so they weren't expensive either but the prices are going up astronomically!
AUS/NZ countries have all specs of Skyline, for example, I was cruising in melbourne the other day and I find a Skyline only to be disappointed that it’s a 2.0T version, which 80% of other countries dont have, we even have the R31 GTRS and many more. But yeah pretty much is the RB/GTR mecca.
The VL Commodore also used the RB for its 6cyl motor. That, in combination with how the R32's dominated previously V8-led motorsport in Australia, is why they've become so legendary here, I'd say. That motor has had a pretty big impact in Aussie car culture for a time.

I definitely see where you're coming from I'm a bit of an RB purist myself. But if you're going to swap an engine into your R32 I guess the barra would be a good choice. The barra is kind of like a RB26 on steroids. That thing is an inline V8 so it's gotta have a boat load of Torque.
That Barra has so much more. His gear ratios are too short, especially the first couple gears. He could ride out that boost much better by being in a taller range.

well, one inline 6 has a displacement of 2.5L and another has a displacement of 4.2 , not to mention can handle more boost while having a stock bottom end
