I'm in Da Lat with my girlfriend now and your 3 part series on the area has been amazing! Thanks so much! Night Market for street eats and 'stairway to heaven' has been other cool stuff to do in Da Lat but this city really is a gem, thanks for inspiring this part of our trip x

Soy milk in Vietnam is very good and fresh. Unlike soybeans in U.S. normally GMO but not Vietnam , so drink while you’re there. I see people made it. It very hard work.

You guys take time to do research about some foods or some locations, like you really did your homework carefully if it makes any sense haha sr for my bad english. As an American expat living in Vietnam, and enjoying Vietnamese cuisine daily, I sometimes crave food from home. Pizza Cui, a small family run business in Dalat, has a brick oven and cook their pies over a wood fire in there. It's not a Chicago or Brooklyn pizza or even as good as an Italian restaurant at home in Denver, but for Vietnam it's really good. Thanks again for posting these videos.

6:54 that noodle dish is called "Hủ Tiếu Nam Vang" in Vietnamese. Nam Vang is Nom Penh (capital city of Cambodia) in Vietnamese. Now you know where the influence of that dish came from.

    • @duongminh2904
      @duongminh2904 6 ปีที่แล้ว

it nothing ralate cambodia here, just Chinese living in phnonphenh created it, in Nguyen Dynasty Cambodia belong to Vietnam so their capital name be called " Namvang" in Vietnamese , khmer itselves dont have any "hu tieu" some kind of noodle like that

You have no idea what you talked about. The Cambodia hu tieu has seafood and local ingredients none found in the Chinese version, hence, the Cambodia's take on the Chinese hu tiu. Yet, it's still a big influence from Cambodia.

Hi guys, i'm your new fan here. But still as a traveler from HCM to Dalat several times and eating, im suggesting Bún bò Huế next time you try it at "Bún Bò Huế Công Dalat" - search it on gg - im sure its better base on broth color i saw on this video.
Further more you should notes some like
    - Nem nướng Bà Hùng on 3 Tháng 2 Street for best on Dalat :)
    - Bánh Canh Xuân An search this careful (some store copied brand name lol ) on GG or foodies
    - Bánh Căn ( special dish of Dalat ) real good
    - Bánh ướt lòng gà ( special dish of Dalat also)
    + For lunch:
    - Check out "Cơm Lá Chuối" and "Cơm ngày ba bữa" - trans as Banana Leaf Rice & The daily 3 rice meals i believed | They served the best local VN dishes differently every single days with good prices
    - And the one you guys called it pizza is Bánh Tráng Nướng ( basiclly translate as Grilled Rice Cake ), note try this at a store at 61 Nguyễn Văn Trỗi , its a 20 years old store with an old funny lady at selling it a.k.a "Bà điên"/"Bà chảnh" which you can found lots on gg "banh trang ba dien da lat" - trans as "Mad lady"/"Snobby lady", cause her special personality, just always be nice and dont call her like that you will be fine xD. Really crowed and delicious, recommended order 3-4 pcs for 2 ppl. Oh if you didnt see her there dats mean she off selling dat day ( she selling mostly at weekends and off as she want to so based luck sometimes LOL )
Thats all i reminded me for now, wish you come back soon and try it LOL.

I am sorry but have to correct you about the sauce for new nuong. There are no peanut and hoisin sauce in it. I just don’t want people to receive wrong info and are afraid to try the food because of allergic.

Hey Hailey! There's definitely peanuts in the peanut sauce (you can see small pieces of them in the video). We appreciate the thoughtfulness towards people with allergies though 😉

I think you put a wrong chilies in Pho, it's support to be chilies sauce. But darn that 's too much chilies in your spring roll ...lol Should have put the chilies in peanut sauce instead unless you're a spicy type.

You guys do such a spectacular job of butchering the Vietnamese language. LOL! Okay, a bit of help here. Remember to switch the t and th sounds and vice versa. So if you see a t say "th" and when you see "th" then say it with a hard t. For the word "bun" say "bune" or "boon" and for "bo" say "boh" (sort of like saying "ball" but kind of let the l sound at the end fall off).
