I grew up in San Francisco and there were a few great choices for Piroshkis, like The House of Piroshkis that was on 9th Ave and Lincoln Way. Long since gone. But I drive from Sacramento to “The City” just to get Moscow Bakery Piroshkis. They have told me to call first and they will put them aside for me. It is our treat whenever we have reason to go home. My sister comes home from San Diego and it is a must have. I’ve sent this to all my friends and family to watch. Thank you 🍽
I think Cinderella is a healthier choice, so it seems, but they also sell good bagels. Like you said, Moscow is the spot! whenever i cross the GG Bridge. That's the first place i go to
I have been looking for a good piroshki. Growing up in the city I remember (probably before your time) in the late '70 and early '80 a bakery/eatery that made the best fresh piroshki. Somewhere near UCSF I think near Lincoln. Cheese and meat and they had a vermicelli/mushroom/meat to die for.
House of Piroshki. The Best ever. It was on the corner of 9th Avenue and Lincoln Way at a Muni Bus Stop. My Dad would buy a couple of dozen. We lived in the Haight. Growing up in the Haight was a Russian Family Bakery and I believe when it closed, one of the family members open the House of Piroshkis. Great memories☮️
What other bakeries or restaurants have good piroshki?
Hi, have you heard of Paramount Piroshki. They are in San Leandro . Super good with many good filing mixture varieties.
@@Ali-uf5du Thanks for letting me know! I will have to check it out :)
