I got some 12 lows this year that I wanted SO bad and they’re perfect….except a few parts of the rubber on the right sole - including the Jumpman - is unfinished or something, because it takes 100000% more damage/grime than the other side. Purchased from Nike. Bizarre. Supposedly when/if it comes back - it was a limited release of course - I’ll still be under warranty….but of course my size was gone right away..ugh

A LOT of what you are paying for is the licensing of the brand logo. Dupes/fakes are often times made in the exact same factories by the same people with the same equipment, but when you cut out the costs you pay for licensing, distribution, marketing and retail, you are suddenly able to get the exact same product at a fraction of the price.

You didn't get psi readings in the air units because you need to be standing in them for them to be under pressure. The compression of the sole decreases the volume of the air unit. This in turn increases the pressure of the neutral gasses. They cannot put compressed gas in the foam because it would bleed out due to atmospheric pressure differences. Decreasing the volume through sole compression is realistically the only way to create a pressurized pocket that isn't rigidly encased. This is why other manufactures also use this method.

Jordan 1s are great. I own and love them. However, they seem to be one of the easier shoes to make for a budding shoe maker to practice on and customize. I'm not saying it's easy. Just easier for someone with the knowledge. Easier than some of the newer more complicated shoes from nike and others.

Should do fake New Balances vs. the Made in the USA models like 990s and 992. They might not be as prevalent and faked as stuff like Jordan 1's or Yeezy 350s but NB is definitely on the come up and some of the more expensive and rare pairs have been getting faked by hype beasts and I'm curious if there is a wider quality rift in them because NB's MITUSA shoes are really high quality!

You stated that all 4 colorways seem to be identical. I wanted to know if they were labeled by the same factory on the inside tag. It's usually labeled on the upper right hand corner of the inside tag by a group of initials. Many of these shoes are produced in different factories so I'm sure every factory has some slight differences which the final product.

The rep makers could definitely make a 1:1 but that would draw alot more eyes, and might tank the real shoe value and eventually hurt their business.
