Excellent video tutorial but it's a lot easier than the video demonstration. I just needed to know where the screws were located. Once you pull the screws and pop the doors off, it's quite simple. The hardest part is the subs because BMW glued it to the housing but with a heat gun and a little patience, it comes off. I replaced all my G05 speakers with the Bavsound kit and it took less than 2 hours. I considered paying someone to install them but they'll try to reap you off - the lowest quote I got from one of the Bavsound installers in my area was $1200, so I decided to just do it myself.
They do sound better out the box and are more solid/better built than the paper type BMW factory speakers. I cannot wait to break these in so that I can turn up the subs! The only thing missing is a Bavsound amplifier, which I'll certainly add when it's ready.
Again, all you need to do is make a note of where the screws are located and you are all set. Do not waste your money on an installer - do it yourself!!!

Upgrading the speakers sound like a really good option for my HK speakers on the x5. But without any point of reference, and for $800, the change in sound clarity must be monumental. I wish i could hear them in person, if you have someone in the NYC area
You consider this video the "Installation Instructions" for the G05 Stage 1, however, the video quality, filming skills, blurry screens are well below expectable. I got motion sickness watching it. Do you have plans to recreate this video with a better videographer?
I was expecting a before and after sound comparison. How these compared with other after market speakers?
Unfortunately audio sound comparison isn't something easily accomplished because of the limitations of the speakers in the devices you watch the video through.
@@bavsound - may be but you should still do it and also show the graphs as proof, otherwise this is just stupid snake oil.
Thank you for this video. Unfortunately the camera blur made it really hard to see what you were doing. I hope you create future videos with a better camera. I also hope you might redo this one as well.
You need a quicker focusing camera or someone who knows how to make a video. Also you need better lighting.

I am working on a 22 45e and I notice that my driver side front door is a little bit different from the passenger side. It does not have the screw at the manual lock but instead it has one more clip near the top. BTW, I used 4 clips they provided after I worked on the two front doors, maybe because it's winter and my garage is cold. So if you plan to have the work done in one day, definitely consider buying spare clips other than the 5 clips provided in the kit.

Why is no subwoofer change available?

They never really focus in on how to remove the tweeter covers in the front. It’s just off all of the sudden then we see it get put back on, then when they have to removed and reattached they gloss over it again. Reason I ask is because I had mine installed by a speaker shop and they left a gap between the tweeter and the door like in the video. I’m scared to try to take the cover off I don’t want to break it. How do the tweeter covers come off?????
