If you noticed we saw nacht’s grimoire from up close and there is no clover or anything in the middle of it, since most times five leaf insignias are never noticed I will predict that this guy has a five leaf just because he has a dark grimoire with no apparent insignia and possesses devil powers and knows about them.

Antony Grant i looked again it might actually be a diamond kingdom grimoire i don’t know it doesn’t have a clover i assumed it was spade because it would make sense for a weg magic user to originally be from where the demon country is
Anime Problem I thought it was diamond grimoire too because the insignia looks a lot like it but then that’s outta the window because the diamond insignia on their grimoires are small ones. The only explanation is that the VC is from another country/land(most likely) than clover and spade. Or by a slim chance he’s from spade or diamond and he’s fallen into despair and the grimoire insignia is what it appears to us. He also has what looks to be another grimoire and not a pouch. We’ll just have to wait and see tho.

The fact that this guy stated asta couldn’t beat him (asta being low captain level) and has devil powers, then this new vice captain should be mid-high captain level. The reason he was never promoted to being a captain is because he has devil power, and having a leader like that would scare/raise a lot of question from the people. It’s why Yami took them in

Magic squads generally have 50+ members. Yami had said many of them were either off on missions of goofing around somewhere. With Nacht being revealed it brings the number of Black Bulls to 15. Excluding Nero, Asta, and Noelle as they're the new kids, we got roughly 38 more unknown members Black Bulls to go if Tabata plans on revealing every member that were in before Asta, Noelle, and Nero joined. The Black Bulls are probably waaaay more OP than any of us could actually imagine.

I was hoping we would get a little more time with the Black Bulls dealing with their despair over losing Yami, but the vice-captain is already back in the Clover Kingdom. Right now I'm cautiously optimistic about the vice-captain. On one hand he seems pretty cool with his Shadow Magic, but on the other hand, it feels a little too convenient how the vice-captain who has never been mentioned until now just so happens to have devil powers and is the perfect person to train Asta. As if the Black Bulls weren't OP enough already, now we have two devil users in the same squad.
That raises so many questions. Did Yami know about the vice-captain having devil powers? Why didn't he mention anything about it when he saw Asta using his devil powers? Did the vice-captain get his devil powers while in the Spade Kingdom? It's going to take a lot of explaining so that this doesn't feel like an asspull. When is Asta even going to find the time to train with Nacht now that they're in the middle of a war with no time to waste, unless they introduce some kind of Hyperbolic Time Chamber type shit?
If the vice-captain had his devil powers before going to the Spade Kingdom, then that means Yami knew about them, but for some reason just neglected to mention it. If the vice-captain got his devil powers while in the Spade Kingdom, then depending on how long he was there, Asta has probably had his devil powers longer than Nacht has. If that's the case, then I guess Asta just sucks at using his devil powers if someone who has had them for a shorter amount of time can already use them better than he can, which isn't all that far-fetched considering Zenon just got his devil powers six months ago and immediately wrecked the Diamond Kingdom after getting them. If Nacht has been in the Spade Kingdom so long that even Yami doesn't know that he has gotten devil powers, then that opens another possibility, that Nacht might have turned traitor.
In that time, Nacht could have switched sides and is now working for the Dark Triad as a double agent, or has his own agenda that runs counter to both sides' goals. That's actually a pretty common occurrence throughout history, where spies who have been captured end up switching sides and then being sent back to their home country as double agents. Another possibility is that this Nacht could be an impostor from the Spade Kingdom who has taken the place of the real vice-captain. Imagine if towards the end of this saga the real vice-captain shows up and says "That's not the real vice-captain, I am!" and at that moment Nacht pulls some move like Ronne did to Rhya while he was possessed by Zagred on someone. The more I think about it, the more I feel that we shouldn't completely trust this guy yet.
If Zora were there right now, he probably would not trust Nacht either and say something about the whole situation seems suspicious. How did Zenon and Dante know exactly where to strike to find their targets? The location of the Golden Dawn's base is probably something that's common knowledge in the Clover Kingdom, but the location of the Black Bulls base, which is constantly moving and changing location, is something only a Black Bull would know. Nacht being the vice-captain would likely have some way of locating it, and then when it's all over he just conveniently shows up like some kind of savior with all the answers. I don't buy it.
Like seriously, as soon as Yami is captured he shows up and seemingly presents Asta with an immediate solution to his exact problem. Demonology 101, that's exactly how demons ensnare humans into making deals with them, by coming to them at their most desperate moments and offering quick and easy solutions to their problems. I would love it if Nacht turned out to be a evil. A Black Bull member who went bad would be an interesting concept to explore. Usually in anime and manga when there is a traitor character, they were evil from the beginning and joined the ranks of the good guys as a spy, but very rarely are there characters that started out as good guys but then end up turning evil, and stay that way.
I'm sort of picturing a situation similar to Justin Law from Soul either, where Nacht started out as a good guy, but while on a mission he ended up being corrupted by the devils and embracing the darkness. If Nacht's true colors are revealed, he could become Asta's nemesis for the saga (Dante I feel would be more of Yami's nemesis). If Asta and Nacht fight and Asta defeats or kills him, then that would also open the way for Asta to become the vice-captain of the Black Bulls.

I think that the vice captain has the earth spirit because that might be how he knows so much about the devil arm and he came from the spade kingdom and each spirit is from one of the four kingdoms ex. undine heart, silph clover, and salamader diamond. and if thats true then this would be the first time we see an augmented magic type in combination with spirit magic which would be pretty cool

the fact that nacht’s demon can just sit on his shoulder like that (unless its just for effect) shows that they might have a decent relationship and it is possible that nacht and asta’s demons have the same reason for fighting against high ranking devils. maybe even more devil users will be revealed 👀
I think the vice captain got the type of relationship with Yami where he acts like the captain and would disrespect yami but deep down he knows Yami is a great leader. I'm curious to see how his relationship is with Julius. Also wonder how and when he got his devil.

Im thinking Asta will train with Nacte a while to learn how discover how to use his right arm. There is likely a way Nacte knows how a host can return their limbs to look normal or into the giant claw Asta had before. Nacte may know how Asta can stay in his AMD form easily and teach him that he needs to help his AMD as much as his AMD helped him. Noelle and Yuno also seem to weak to go on a rescue mission without being a liability to the captains. I can't imagine how strong the the captains are after the time skip, but it appears they are are much stronger then before.
Honestly I didn't read it as depressing as more a signaling of a transition in the hierarchy of power going forward, Nacht I feel is about to divulge serious plot points like real soon.
Asta now has someone thats going to help him go to the next level. Makes you wonder who Tabata is going to use to help Noelle and Yuno get that power up🤔
I think Noelle has Loropechika but will probably meet someone else along the way But I’m not sure about Yuno 🤔
I have 3 suggestions:
1. Noelle’s dad might finally make an unexpected appearance since he was foreshadowed to us when she was a kid blaming her for Acier death. If Nozel knew the truth the dad definitely knew as well he probably told him. I figure he probably went on a recon mission just like the VC or his own personal journey for himself looking for answers surrounding Aciers death.
2. She won’t get a power up but just different motivational help. I’m thinking Nozel will team up with her hell we might even get a family team up with the siblings if they’ve gotten stronger over the timeskip. It would be nice to see the Silva Family get justice for their mother.
3. She’ll get a new spell or Loro’s water spirit.

Tbh, I'm more interested on Grey's magic and history than the new introduction of Nacht. Don't get me wrong, Nacht is a huge mystery especially with that demon beside him. But when I first heard how her "Transformation Magic" can also transform other substances instead of herself which is incredibly rare. AND the fact that she can transform magic itself into another type. I thought that's incredibly strange. Hopefully in this arc, we will uncover her real name and the true nature of her magic.

Thats the whole deal with the black bulls, Yami only got the guys with weird magic, that no one can see potential.
Theres 3 things in anime that i will never forget or forgive the writer for do not show us.
1. Julius Novachrono fighting for real with deadly potential.
2. Adult Gon fight Meruen.
3. Itachi fight with full potential, no sickness.
Weird magic that no one sees potential for but the same people didn't realize that for the most part, its arcane level magic. The Black Bulls were the most slept on squad in anime/manga/visual novel/webcomic history.
