^^ ahh memories of the DC area :) lived in MontCo for 29 years. Visited PGC couple times (mostly to go to Wild World/Aventure World/Six Flags). Nice area :)
ryanlovestosnowboard ... So putting on gear at the scene takes longer than putting it on at the station? Welcome to the rural world - we often drive directly to the scene to meet the truck that has our gear - it takes less time to do that then it does for us to drive to the hall and then to the scene. Plus it is great to hear that your trucks never have accidents! Congratulations.
I looked back through the past two weeks. Across North America there were 9 fire truck or ambulance collisions resulting in the injury of 10 firefighters/paramedics/patients and the death of 4! One of the firefighters didn't think it was necessary to put on his seatbelt (just like these guys putting on their bunker gear). He fell out of the truck and died. My station stores our gear in bags on the side of the truck - we don't suit up till we arrive at the fire! Safety #1 All ways!
Of course, if they have an accident while not buckled in then they will all be injured or killed but hey, that never happens, right? Search TH-cam for "firetruck accident" - a major portion of firefighter deaths occur in vehicle accidents! Take a minute and get dressed at the hall - make sure you arrive at the scene alive.

Lots of trees too!
in every almost every volunteer video i see they always rock the Q! :D
The sound of the Q winding down is the embodiment of the disappointment.
They were "On the air" which means they were out and about doing stuff when the call came in.
god bless our volunteer firefighters stay safe out there
The driver usually has an extra foot pedal for the federal Q siren but I think the passenger usually uses the other sirens and/or horn.
04smallmj correct. The engineer and whoever is riding the seat, aka officer, have pedals to use the Q and air horn
Doesn't The Captian Use The Horn And Q?
Awesome ride along!

The horn sounds like a train horn!
Definitely not, it’s just the horns being worn out
@paraawesome thats the way it is, You always have to be ready. Sometimes things are minor, and the crew on scene can handle
What's Wrong With The Horn? 0:55
Issues with the air passing through the horn
@@rjfilliben107 Thanks Man!
how fast do you go in the truck
Fast
sounds like some probs with the air-compression?
Great video!
muss man sich un die videos auf der seite anzuschauen sie downloaden? und wenn ja kostet dass was?
Wow the driver of that truck looks like a teenager, lol. Great video though!
Cause they were on the air meaning they werent at the station.
@algonquinpaddler62 they were on the air when they got the call...
Once again for the second time by the way is that a Firecat your riding in
no sorry dude no fire cat... :( i love firecats
The deal is, they came all this way only to be canceled just around the corner from the scene.
because it takes time from the response time?

algonquinpaddler62 you should gear up @ the station.
algonquinpaddler62 makes life 10 times easier, not only that's but let's you get a like stretched and in service quicker or get the truck set for ops.
@jimbow0512 they were probibly just driving around when they got the call
In route to what?
House fire (Discription)
They were already out of station and on the road they got a call thats why
I don't understand who is using the siren and the horn? the driver?
ScaWeedania usually the driver and officer has a siren and air horn pedal. It depends on the department.
@gently81 super danke :)
At least the person in the Captains seat didnt bash his head again..but these guys need to learn that you shouldnt wear helmets in the rig
why dont they gear up in the station
wats up with the horn? They should just use the Electric sirens horn
the air horn sounds funny.
Yo! 9 years back!
They were already on the street ;-)
NFPA says not to wear your helmet in the truck if you were to get in a crash the guy with the helmet on would have a broken neck.
Fuck the NFPA
Havent seen any in my department
+RG Firebuff607 agreed lol
My Department Dose That I Think! They Wear Their Helmets In The Truck.
Damn 7 guys in that rig. Fuck that
Bei dem Cancel sieht man die Begeisterung in den Gesichtern...
